New AU:

A young Loqi is smuggled out of Niflheim shortly after his father’s death. He is placed in the care of Sylva Via Fleuret, Oracle and Queen of Tenebrae, and raised alongside her children.

He’s explained away as the child of a cousin, perhaps illegitimate.

He still has no chill at all, no chill at all has he.

Loqi is infamous for nigh-unkillability in battle, and he revels in it. After all, he was made to be Niflheim’s answer to Cor the Immortal.

Loqi Tummelt is unique.

Created as Niflheim’s answer to Cor Leonis, he was cloned from the remains of one of Niflheim’s founders, and named for him. From the very beginning, he has been trained in combat, tactics, and strategy, and was unleashed on the battlefield at the age of thirteen, and has since proved to be just as indestructible as the Immortal Marshal.

Loqi is aware that he is a clone, and is proud of that fact — after all, he was created for a unique purpose. Once the war is done and Loqi has proven himself, House Tummelt will be reinstated with Loqi as its head.

A skilled Magitek pilot, Loqi can easily pilot any MA-X series, but has an almost-uncanny ease with the MA-X Cuirass series to the point where they are his preferred mode of combat.

Made to Order

Loqi Tummelt is not unique.

While cloned from the original Loqi Tummelt, he is not the only one. Every time he’s miraculously survived an incident that should have killed him… he has not always, in fact, survived. Instead, a new clone has been decanted, given the memories and personality of the previous clone, and sent as a replacement.

Maintaining the fiction of an Immortal of their own to match Leonis is important enough that Loqi himself is unaware of the truth. He is also unaware that once his usefulness has reached an end, his final demise will be his last. There will be no House Tummelt, no retirement awaiting him.

Loqi has ‘survived’ a few brushes with the Starscourge. The resulting magitek cores were placed in the MA-X Cuirass series; those in the know find his ease with Cuirasses eerie and even unholy. That has not stopped them from suggesting the LT series of magitek cores be used in the new MA-X Angelus-0.
