Came to mind because I have heard about a game called Duskfade that’s said to be a good Kingdom Hearts-like, but whether it improves on KH’s major problem of being terrible at women is not brought up, but also because my main question about the Gothic remake was “Are sex slaves still the only women in it?” so I read some reviews, and in none of them did it occur to anybody to say.

I love that the Crystal Exarch manages to keep his identity and past secret for a hundred years while running a city because everybody is just like, hey, he’s nice and he does a lot of stuff for us, it’d be rude to pry.

Anyway I think more video game quests should make you uncomfortable and guilty and mislead you and corner you between a rock and a hard place and offer hollow victories. There's nothing more annoying than quest writing that scrambles to assure you that you're niceys and good and nothing you put your hand on can ever have negative consequences. "You cannot save everyone" and I cheer and whoop etc.
