Okay two things
1) every time I see something like this, or photos of wild unrealistic landscapes that really exist, or spectacular architecture, whatever it is, I think again that when we write fantasy, we NERF REALITY. That is, here’s some dude with a special interest and a brain that somehow lacks basic self preservation mechanisms, and he’s out here looking like a super hero. Regular humans are capable of things we seem super human. Real landscapes are more fantastical than our fantasies. Reality is more fantastical than our fantasies.
2) how the fuck did he not kick out any windows that’s the most impressive part of the whole video.
this man is his own zombie apocalypse team, adding anyone else would just slow him down
So as someone who used to teach parkour back in the day, this dude isn’t just talented. His technique is amazing.
It’s not just about not kicking out windows. Controlling how you land is about shock absorption, about minimizing the strain on your joints. It also makes you quieter when you move. A good landing should be as silent as possible, because loud landings hurt. That’s the foundation of everything else you do in parkour. So by the time you’re climbing buildings, if you’re breaking windows it means you don’t have enough control to land safely and it’s time to go back to your ground basics.
Be the rogue you want to see in the world.
@theoutcastrogue
Yeah so this is the guy who tests the Ninja Warrior stuff. He’s like an Olympian of parkour, that’s why this looks so good.
a man who has not forgotten that humans are primates with all the deeply weird stuff that entails
i am legitimately in tears

in light of the previous anon i would like to take this opportunity to register that both hojo and sephiroth suck balls and you should never ever draw them again. especially not hojo. ever.
YOU COME INTO MY HOUSE-!!
(btw i might add i’m not usually this easy to manipulate but you guys are just. <3)
final fantasy vii remake » roche — You turned the key. The engine roars with excitement. It hungers to be set free!
I love how everyone bashed this guy and thought his inclusion in the game was meaningless.
He’s a 3rd class G cell SOLDIER.
I know people like to pretend CC didn’t happen, but both pres Shinra and Hojo and fucking deepground itself are telling you otherwise.
Roche is gonna degrade. Yall get it now?
He’s already showing signs of it. He’s overly aggressive and violent towards those on his own side. He takes out more public security grunts than Cloud did ffs. He’s obsessive and grandiose. Sound familiar? Bit like the pain in the ass who kept quoting Loveless every time we saw him in CC?
So, why do we see Roche when we get info about degradation?
Because of Cloud.
Because Cloud believes this is his future. A slow descent into raving lunacy and violence.
Oh. Wait.
When did we see that behaviour?
OG Cloud beating the shit out of Aerith before handing Sephiroth the black materia.
Does everyone get the connection now? Do we understand Roche’s importance to the plot!?
He’s not a filler character. He’s not just the bike mini game boss. We’re supposed to get a good enough look at him as a person, because he’s gonna become a monster later. Cloud is supposed to get a good look at him now, so he remembers what Roche was like. So when he sees Roche as a monster it’ll be another blow to that SOLDIER shield persona.
Nothing and no one in this game is irrelevant. Yall just missed the point.
Dude keeps shedding all over the place
teardownheaven:
“Oh you know Rhodea will try.”
Aeleus doesn’t seem too upset about the idea. Maybe he’s been practising his own dance moves when he has time? It’s not the strangest thing any of the SOLDIERs will have done by a long shot.
“Its whether or not they want to get us into dresses.” He sounds a little more concerned by that. Not offended, just mildly exasperated. “Pretty sure he un’erstood what no meant but a couple of the girls might still think a giant soldier inna dress is hilarious an’ make a push at me about it.”
Then he gives Lanh a gentle poke to the stomach.
“You’d look real cute, though.”
“I’d rock a slinky dress,” Lanh agrees with a grin. “Bet Rhodea can find a nice suit for you t’ wear.”
He takes a moment to consider. “He might try for a partners dance, y’know. The size difference is appealin’ to the eye, an’ we both know I barely weigh a feather to you.”
lovetobetheunderdog:
“…What?” That’s news to him, and Zack doesn’t like it much. He looks pretty embarrassed and even a little crestfallen. Angeal? Calls him a puppy?
“Uh…Mind getting it off my lap? I’m not really…okay with this…”
Zack’s reaction is-- well, kind of a surprise?
Lanh retrieves the pup, soothing it with a soft growl. “He won’t hurt you, Fair,” he says gently. “And-- I mean, he’s fond when he says it? Angeal, I mean. He likes you.”
@thiefsoldier
For a Third Class SOLDIER, Lanh’s stealth borders on the uncanny. Without any warning of his presence, he plops a Guard Hound pup into Zack’s lap and announces, “It you.”
@lovetobetheunderdog
“Uhhh.”
His only encounter with Guard Hounds is them trying to bite his ass. Zack freezes, eyes comically wide and confused.
“What.”
Lanh grins at the other man. “Angeal’s always calling you ‘puppy’, isn’t he?” He nods to the puppy in Zack’s lap. “It you.”
The puppy whines, and Lanh yips back at it, earning a happy sound from the pup before it curls up in the other SOLDIER’s lap, content.

Once a pickpocket and now in SOLDIER, Lanh was one of those left behind when Genesis rebelled. He has remained at Shinra less for loyalty and more for a lack of anywhere else to go….
