On the day of Dick Cheney’s death, I’m thinking about a lot of horrible consequences of his actions, but I’m also thinking about Lauren Hough telling Dick Cheney to waterboard her “if it makes him feel better” when she repaired his cable.
Sometimes I think about how when Tony and Ziva first met she was like u were following me and he was like no american pizza and she was like my sister died in a suicide bombing and then he watched her swim for a while.
This episode was written by incels
Literally, WHY was the most cohesive, thoughtful, well-written show as of late: a SPINOFF of a CBS '00s procedural??
They perfectly ended NCIS: Tony & Ziva s1 where, it answered old questions, continued the missing years of the storyline, and has the ending be satisfying enough but easy to do another season with all the side characters and Tiva only dating by the end.
Relationship status: It's complicated.
look I was in for TIVA because obviously I've waited and suffered through the years but I am tuning in every week for the comedic brilliance of the dynamic between Claudette & Boris (& Sophie) like brother and sister where they teased each other and the brother gets along fantastically with his sister in law.
You’re just too good to be true. Can’t take my eyes off of you.
All it took for Tali to question her parents’ relationship was Ziva laughing at Tony’s expense - like she did on a daily basis from S3 to S10.
Tiva - or a guide on how to fail your daughter, see below :
“I didn’t even know you liked each other that much…”
Well congratulations to Tony and Ziva on failing their daughter by making her believe they never really liked one another.
Raised first with mom, then with dad, then with both…but living appart. She has never seen her parents being happy in love.
From the moment Ziva came back, Tali has been their priority. While making out in front of the door, they wondered how Tali would apprehend their relationship, they got engaged because Tali had nightmares and Ziva didn’t want to leave her side at night. Tony never spoke of his real feelings for he feared that would cause Ziva and him to break up, and ultimately hurt Tali - which is what they did anyway.
They were so focused on hiding every feeling they had to protect their daughter that she ended thinking they did not EVEN liked one another.
How big of a fail is that?
There is nothing worse as a child than knowing your parents don’t get along, and that somehow you were an unwanted pregnancy… (which she was not. She was unplanned, but not unwanted).
All it got for them to fall back into one another’s arms was being away from their daughter, and therefore stop pretending.
Tali has never really witnessed any of their flirting, banter, game. Had she seen her parents in the past, she wouldn’t be questioning whether or not they like each other. She would see how much they love one another. Look! All it took for her to question the state of their relationship was to see Ziva laugh at Tony’s expense! Which by the way is what she’s done on a daily basis from S3 to S10.
And that’s a work on themselves Tony and Ziva need to do. To learn to be themselves, to learn to be partners while being parents instead of being their true selves when they aren’t parenting. This is the only way Tali will comprehend the extent of what they feel for one another and to approve their relationship.
Tali only knows them in their jaded, broken state.
Tali hasn’t seen her parents be Tiva. Tali hasn’t experienced the awesomeness that was peak Tiva bond. Tali doesn’t know these people:
Tali only knows this:
*Kate had been sitting at breakfast across from Yelena word vomiting for 25 minutes about the game her and Peter were playing all night*
Kate: and then we were cooked. There was no coming back from that so we decided it was time for bed.
Yelena: Every time you talk, I get this warm and fuzzy feeling inside of me.
Kate, stopped chewing her fruit loops: I’m sorry?
Yelena: it’s really nice actually but it’s bothering me and I do not understand it so please stop talking.
Kate: warm and fuzzy? Oh my god, Yelena do you have feelings me for?
Yelena, standing and depositing her bowl in the sink: I have to go.

“do you still keep all that deadly shit in your cookie jars?”
No one was doing it like tv shows in the early 2000s. I mean the partnerships, the secret gay love, the amateur child private investigators, the ghost hunters, etc. It was the decade of brilliant ideas and no funding.
Season 3 Ziva gets shouted at by Abby and Ducky for being cold and uncaring because they didn't consider that she HAD to be that to cope -----> Ziva learns to show emotion and show that she cares, she softens and relaxes and loses all of her coping mechanisms until actually it's all too much -----> spinoff Ziva learns healthier coping mechanisms from a therapist for five years and probably should go for five more
Half the reason Katniss succeeded where Haymitch failed was that she went into the Games without any desire for insurrection, without any desire to rebel.
Instead, her every choice was fuelled by a desperate love of her little sister; volunteering in Prim’s place, trying her best to win sponsors, killing tributes when necessary, all in the hopes she could make it back home to her Primrose, the beautiful, little flower. Katniss played to win, not because she thought it was acceptable, but because her sister needed her. Her stunt with the berries was intended to be a very personal, self-contained act of rebellion, so small and sudden and unexpected that the Capitol broadcast it before they could consider the repercussions.
Haymitch, on the other hand, did not play to win, but to blatantly undermine the Capitol wherever possible. He did not play to see his family again, but threw caution to the wind and pulled stunts so openly that they never would have reached the districts’ eyes.
Haymitch tried to be something he wasn’t - “the rascal” - unwittingly playing right into Snow’s hands. Katniss couldn’t help but be herself (because she was such a bad actor, haha), rebelling in little ways simply out of habit, which is exactly why all the districts saw bits of themselves in her.
Wine-tipsy Ziva David giggling and saying "fuck it" and kissing her baby daddy like she seriously means it and leading him to bed and telling him to take his time undressing her...
If I wasn't already in love with her, I would be for sure now 🥵🤤
every time ziva david swears in the spinoff, another year is added to our lives
