Ever feel like you're in some surreal Disney movie where nothing makes sense? Where the Mad Hadders are politicians, babbling nonsensically and blaming either side for the economic turmoil that they themselves ultimately have dragged us into? Where the Queen screams "Sentence first, Verdict afterwards!" and the police all oblige because in reality, how can they truly be a force created to protect the people? And then I think of everything that's going on and start wondering how can we create true change when we've been governed for decades by a corrupt, capitalist system?.. maybe Marx had it right all along, maybe the capitalist dream is just a front that the government feeds us to keep us passive and complacent, feeding us false hope through advertising... And we're very, very pissed off." - Fight Club It's scary recognizing the parallels that run between Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club and today's Occupy Wall Street Movement. Looks like the 99% are done feeding off the corporate teat; the past of passively daydreaming of becoming rockstars is now obsolete as there's no place to daydream with the lack of jobs around. Reality seems to hit hardest when times are down, and it looks like we're now finally hitting back... but what's our solution?
