@commissar-hauser
Shit’s about to get real.
Sometimes I get a bit self referential.

General-Commissar Hauser, or as the artist has dubbed this piece: Morale Restored!
Hey folks, a while ago I posted the rough pencils of this one but here it is in all its coloured glory! I am really, really happy with how it has turned out and the amount of effort and detail that the artist has put into this, ranging from the odd choice of sidearm (which is indeed a Webley revolver), a very specific type of cuirass design with refractor field gorget, several medals and well, the usual stuff you expect from a commissar.
The artist is Nicolàs R. Giacondino and you can find his amazing line of work here!
thunderswarehouse It got coloured, yo!
Finally a non sexualised female commissar. Was it really that hard? This is just gorgeousÂ
why dose she have a revolver, i mean are revolvers around now i haven’t read 7th ed IG so idk
Stub revolvers are a thing(they’re the starting weapons of the non-militant sisters in Dark Heresy). it’s odd though that a commissar would use one of those when las pistols and bolt pistols are available, but I guess rule of cool applies.
Void-farers also seem to favour stub weapons/revolvers. I suppose they’re more economical choices for a large crew. As for commissars, I reckon it’d be too make them more charismatic—all daring, charging into battle with just sword and pistol.
As for Sisters non-Militant having stub weapons…I don’t get that at all. I can’t say for sure when it’s decided which type of Order a Novice is headed to, but surely it must be long after they start weapons training—they do start them young after all—and it doesn’t make sense to train them with Stub as well as Bolt/Plasma/Flame. (To be honest, while I like most of Blood of Martyrs, their treatment of Sisters n-M just seemed half-assed at best. Variant ranks for Adepts? Ugh. Stub revolvers probably just fell out of that.) It’s certainly mentioned in fluff that Sisters non-Militant are proficient with the same basic weapons as Sisters Militant, just with less practical experience, perhaps. Pistols should definitely be their armament of choice. (Likely Bolt, but the idea of a Sister Dialogous with a flamer amuses me.)
What would make sense for them is a bolt pistol, 2 reloads and a mono combat knife. That way they’re packing less combat force than a Sister Militant, but still above most non-combat classes.Â
And yes the idea of a Sister Dialogous with a flamer made me giggle, mostly because it brings new meaning to the phrase “flame war”.Â
Aye, that should work.
I don’t know when (hopefully not if) FFG will be releasing rules for Sisters in Dark Heresy 2, but the new character system should make it a lot easier to do all the Orders justice. By which I mean if they don’t do the rules, I will.
The Enemies Within supplement has the Adepta Sororitas as a career path.
We’re devastated to report that the world lost one of its greats today — the peerless Terry Pratchett has passed away at age 66.
