ugh THIS is happening at RPI too I believe (no news articles available for RPI that I have seen, but it appears to be a companywide policy, and there are signs up about it all over campus)

disgusting corporate behavior (not that I’m surprised) made even more disgusting by using the ACA as an excuse to take away worker benefits

figured this is relevant to this blog- as much as the food in commons can be deplorable, the workers absolutely should not be having their benefits cut

don't know if you guys have seen the posters up around campus, but if you haven't you should keep an eye out for them

Commons Rain

maybe some of you have observed this mysterious phenomenon, where there is a fine, misty rain directly outside of the main door to commons

the Commons Rain

it's really disgusting and mysterious and definitely exists (even when it is Absolutely Not Raining anywhere else), you can check it out for yourself if you haven't seen it/felt it

it's usually on the right side of the door on the way in, near the big lightbulb

we're leaving a comment card with some very scientific data (circled raindrops from The Rain) as proof that this is happening in case the staff hasn't noticed yet, and we're hoping that it will be cleared up as soon as possible

because it's really gross

You seem to be mistaken. We are undergraduate students with no authority and can only observe the strange ways of RPI dining. You could leave a comment card about this though.

Prosciutto with melon is a classic Italian combination, not a #strangefood. I am appalled by your lack of culture.

I know it is, however, when we first encountered it last year, it looked to us like "melons wrapped in mystery meat" so I think it's a valid candidate for this blog

also, it still seems like a pretty weird thing to make to me
