We have some beautiful Kokka oilcloth fabric in the store, it's divine!
Artist Eliza Fernand made these fabulous quilted tents. She constructed the tents for her Quilted Stories project. Through the project she invites people all over the States to hang out for a while and share their quilting stories and stitches. You can learn more about Fernand’s work on her website: http://elizafernand.com/
We have Tegu blocks at the store, come check 'em out, they're so much fun. :-)
Skull patterned fabric that we have in the store.
We have some Liberty fabric at Common Thread that would be lovely for a coin purse!
Have you heard about Michael Swaine? All of us at Common Thread Studio think that he's great. He mends clothing for people once a month for free in the Tenderloin district of San Fransisco ... using an traditional treadle powered sewing machine! You can learn more about this inspiring guy here: http://www.ecouterre.com/a-free-mending-library-in-san-francisco-that-creates-community/
