My wife is eight months pregnant and her health is difficult due to malnutrition. Be in my place. How would I wait for my child, who was born in poor condition? My heart is broken. I dreamed of a wonderful life to spend with them, a dignified life. A life not filled with death, fear, destruction, and deprivation. I wanted to fill his room with toys and his closet with clothes. I wanted to buy him children's books, but I couldn't. The war came and my hopes were shattered. My goal became providing him with a 70-pound carton of milk and food. I can barely afford anything. Everything is expensive, and we no longer have the income to buy his needs. Bayd Al-Karam has been deprived of many of his basic needs. He has been deprived of security and stability. No fruits, no meat, no flour. A kilo of flour costs £30. Vegetables are exorbitantly expensive. A kilo of tomatoes costs £20, a kilo of eggplant £20, a head of garlic £25, a kilo of peppers £25. Nothing but fear fills my children's eyes. As soon as they hear the sounds of explosions around them, they start crying. Today, a kilo of onions costs £70, a kilo of zucchini £30, and a kilo of lemons £50. Water is undrinkable, and we struggle to obtain it through waiting in line, and most of the time, we are unable to obtain it.
