Future of the nation (Firelord zuko x reader) pt. 1
The next part will have smut, I needed to world build first.
The life of a noble was one of grandeur, elegance, and above all else, duty. There wasnât a single soul born into a noble line that didnât feel the same.
Especially the ones in the fire nation.
In previous years, noble sons and daughters who were gifted with firebending were sent to the palace to train and become elite fighters for firelord Ozai. Your own family had sent your father when he was young, and after serving diligently for over a decade he had come back to his family home. As soon as he arrived he was wed, and quickly began his duties as a noble to have children that could carry on his lineage.
His one regret in life is that he had not been as dutiful in his fatherly identity. He should have raised you differently. Maybe the he could have had the courage to turn down the new firelord when he travelled to your family home to request your hand in marriage, if he had just done better with you. No, instead he had raised you too free spirited. Too wild for a true noblewoman from the fire nation. Your temper ran hot and your bending was derived from passion rather than the rage he had been taught to harness.
Maybe then you wouldnât have been such a suitable candidate for the fire lords wife. Maybe then he wouldnât have had to agree to the proposal. As it was now, he couldnât find a single reason to keep his child at home. It was a great honor for you to be chosen, but deep down he regretted how little time he had spent with you.
You were only freshly nineteen when you seen the royal carriage pull in out front of your house. The shock of it temporarily sent any idea that they were there to discuss you completely out of your head. Instead, you only found yourself growing more intrigued. You had heard stories about this firelord. Many stories.
After all, what else would you hear when you snuck off to the market? A new firelord who had teamed up with the avatar to pull your nation out of war. A new firelord who was handsome and fierce, battle worn already at his young age. When you were younger you had heard rumors of an outcast prince sent on an impossible mission.
Now you snuck glances from the end of the hall as he walked with your father to the sitting room of your home. Completely unaware that he was there because he had heard of you.
He had fought off his advisers for years, aided by the wild and unpredictable journeys he had to take on behalf of Aang. But eventually there had come a time that things were too quiet, too at ease.
Thatâs when his advisers struck. They had been scouting the whole nation, seeking out a lady of noble birth that could match the new agenda of the firelord. Too many had been raised on the old ways. Too many sought to ârestore the fire nation to its rightful placeâ. All things they spouted back simply because they were victims of the brainwashing that had been going on for a century.
Until of course, they found you. A noble lady who was doted on by her family, far enough away from the main palace for the prejudices of the old firelord to have really stuck. Your father who had let you run wild and never forced the old beliefs on you had inadvertently made you the perfect marriage candidate.
And you donât even know that as you crept along and observed your future husband.
The firelord looked regal, strong, and maybe even a bit nicer than most of the other men you had met. Something about the way that he moved told you this was a man who knew himself and knew his duty. It was hard to picture him as a teenager running off with the avatar, but youâd definitely seen a play or two that swore he had.
You watched as your father and him went into the sitting room, clearly to discuss something. What that was, you had no idea. But you were curious, so you quickly thought up a plan. You ran off to find a maid, hoping to intercept whichever one was taking the tea that would surely be brought to them. Moments like these reminded you how happy you were that clothing styles had finally changed enough that you could wear pants, especially seeing as how often you ran through these halls.
Finally you rounded a corner and caught the maid who was approaching you soon to be destination. You shot her a grin full of mischief, stopping her dead in her tracks.
âMiss, I cannot possibly let you do this.â She groaned out as you swept the tray out of her hands. Another example of how you were different than other nobles was that you treated the staff with respect and kindness, and in return earned certain privileges. Like the ability to scheme.
âI just want to get a good look at him is all!â You called back as you made your way down the hall, seeking out a quick glance at the young firelord. You slowed your pace and regained your breath as you stood in front of the door, before pushing it open and stepping inside. Across the room, sat at a low table was your father.
And across the table from him, with his back turned to you, was the long haired firelord. Your father caught sight of you first, his shock etched across his entire face. You almost paused at the look of panic you thought you saw in his eyes, but you shrugged it off.
How would you ever get a chance like this again? He would have to forgive you.
âFather, here is your evening tea.â You grinned as you placed both the cups and then the pot down on the table. âI believe this one is your favorite?â
âActually, it is mine.â The soothing voice drew your attention, finally face to face with the man you had snuck in here to see. You stopped short as your eyes swept over him, taking in the sight.
Again, you had seen a play involving him, so you knew about his scar. Not to mention most royals knew the truth about how he got it. But something stuck you as odd.
âIsnât the scar on the wrong side?â You asked out loud, even though you had intended to keep it as an inside thought. You quickly realized your mistake and clamped a hand over your mouth, hoping to hide the nervous grin that spread over your lips. The firelord stared up at you for a very long moment, and you swore you could see the fire lit candles away towards him. You had clearly said something wrong. But instead of berating you, the firelord looked at your father with a serious expression.
âI believe Iâve made up my mind. I believe that my advisers were right after all. There isnât a single noble lady in the nation I would prefer over your daughter. With your blessing, I would like to marry her.â The calmness of his voice told you he hadnât been as upset as you had expected. Especially since he was asking for your hand in marriage.
Wait.
What.
âThen I suppose itâs settled. She will travel back with you tonight.â You father sighed as he poured his own cup of tea, before pouring one for the firelord as well. âLet us share a cup, to celebrate the future of the nation.â
âIndeed.â The firelord raised his cup to your fathers, before taking a sip. You looked back down at him, sitting there at the low table and nearly fainted out of embarrassment.
Especially once you noticed his eyes were looking at you, a smirk on his face before he drank.
What had you done?
~~~~
The answer to that became abundantly clear as you were escorted off to your room to pack, and then immediately put into a carriage with the firelord himself at dark. Your father had tried to insist on waiting til the morning, but the firelordâZuko, as you had been reminded was his nameâ had insisted you needed to make the journey as soon as possible.
âI really am sorry we had to rush, but I have several advisers and the chancellor breathing down my neck about my marriage.â Zuko rested his head back against the soft interior, his eyes closing as he spoke. You took this moment to observe him, noticing just now how he didnât have both eyebrows, and how long his hair truly was. The fact that this man had once been the prince who was thrown out was definitely a startling fact.
âItâs quite alright my lord.â You found yourself fidgeting with your clothes, almost embarrassed now that you were wearing pants instead of a traditional dress or even a robe. Then again, it had seemed that he was fine with your attire. âI was informed of your need for a bride and your ah, particular requirements.â
âIâll warn you, once we are back inside the palace walls we wonât be able to talk so freely. There has been a great change in the place since my fatherâs time, but there are still traditions that must be kept.â His eyes opened, latching onto the sight of you. It felt wrong to admit to himself, but from the moment you had spoken he felt drawn to you. That desire only grew when he realized you were funny and light hearted, maybe even mischievous. He didnât get the chance to indulge in those behaviors, unless he was helping the avatar. The fact he had such a physical reaction to you was merely a bonus on the fact you would be a welcome distraction from the drolling days at court. âBut yes, I was seeking a bride who would match my desire for change. Not another loyalist.â
âThat I can assure you I am not. I am loyal to you alone, simply because I agree with your methods and the principles youâve instituted.â You were doing your best to find the right words, even as you were jostled around in the carriage. Thatâs what you get for living out in the country. Bumpy dirt roads.
You hit a Particular rough bump and felt yourself become air born, launched from your seat across to the other side. You braced for impact, expecting to nail your head against the wood on the carriage and instead found yourself perfectly fine. Strong hands held you, although not upright. You were sprawled out across the floor, though most of your body had landed in Zukoâs arms. Held you there by your shoulders, looking down at you with eyes filled with concern.
âAre you alright?â He asked, using his grip on you to easily lift you up onto the seat next to him. âIt may do better if you sit on this side with me so I can hold us both steady.â
You tried to focus on his words, truly. But you found yourself far too embarrassed to do so. He kept a strong arm wrapped around your waist, holding you tightly to him. You could feel that your face was flushed, the heat that felt like it was radiating off of you was proof of that.
âYouâre red.â His long hair tickled your shoulders as he leaned in, attempting to figure out what was wrong with you. Maybe you had gotten hurt after all?
âLord Zuko, you know we are not yet married right?â Your voice came out quieter than it ever had, but there was a good reason for that. You were an unmarried lady after all. Besides during fire bending training, youâd never been touched by a man and definitely not as informally as this.
âWhat? Oh.â He suddenly lurched his arm and face away from you, joining you in having a pink dusting across his face. The closeness had phased him. Heâd grown up on the seas, on flying bison, and sleeping not even two feet away from his companions. Not to mention, he had a girlfriend in his youth. All of that had been extremely informal. Sometimes he forgot that according to traditional values, he was now of age and a man. That meant touching you so casually was seen as rather vulgar unless it was in the heat of battle.
âItâs alright, not like anyone seen. Even if they did we will be married shortly. I justââ your words fell flat as you got more embarrassed than you already were. âAh, Nevermind.â
Zuko was confused by you for a second. He was trying to find the meaning in your words, wanting to understand why you had gotten more flustered while trying to reason out why his actions werenât weird.
Thatâs when it hit him.
Yes, you were raised differently. But not that different. All proper ladies were left untouched until their wedding nights. Some even abstained from kissing or hand holding until then.
âMy lady, are you..?â He couldnât bring himself to ask outright if you were a virgin. But he found he didnât need to, seeing as you were so quick to look away from him and shrink against the wall. That answered his question. Zuko adjusted his body to be angled away from you, both for your comfort and his. The thought of being the one to ruin you in just a few days wasâŚ. Interesting. He hadnât known that he would find the prospect so appealing until the moment he was made to confront it.
âDo you have anything to say, my lord?â The sound of your voice did not help his predicament. It was definitely making the tightness in his pants worse, which was again, a new revelation to him. The sound of his head hitting the back in the seat once again sounded through the cabin as he closed his eyes, unable to look at you anymore.
âI had forgotten. Iâm sorry.â His throat felt dry. He hadnât felt this at all loss for words in years. It really took him back to his old relationships where he always ended up saying the wrong thing. âWere you informed of how the martial act works?â
âI think I was taught the basics, but as you can imagine even something as simple as touching is foreign to me.â His eye peaked open, side eyeing you and seeing that you looked just as nervous as you had a moment before.
âWhen the time comes, Iâll be gentle and teach you.â
Southern charm (Senku x southern! Reader) nsfw
I said once before and Iâll say it again. People get the âsouthern charmâ but all wrong
Warnings: submissive senku(?), sex, flirting, making him talk about science while you do it, author doesnât know much about space science and made it work, hand job, hickeys, biting, slight edging. Not proof read
âBit of a bumpy road huh?â The driver called back to Senku from the front of the car. The car dipped harshly into another hole on the gravel and dirt road, putting âbumpyâ to shame as a description. This road was worn down and abused, at best. There were no lines or even signs this far into the woods, and when he checked his phone again he seen there wasnât any cell phone reception either.
âAre you sure we are on a road and not some kind of trail?â Even as he said it, Senku knew with a sinking feeling that he was on the exact path he was supposed to be taking. The excitement he felt for his up coming research was battling over his concern due to the terrain.
âYouâll get used to it, all the other researchers have!â The laugh that erupted from the front was tinged with just enough mockery that Senku knew he wasnât alone in despising this journey. âIâm surprised they sent you out here, isnât this a bit far for some stars?â
âWhen it comes to getting the perfect position and spot for science, Iâd go anywhere they told me to. Truthfully there is many places nearby we could do this research from, but all of them turned our team down when asked if they would allow a few researchers to come set up in their fields for a week.â His eyes cast out the window, rocky terrain and fields of hay passed by only broken up by patches of trees. He felt his excitement growing as they finally approached the place heâd be calling home for the next week.
It was a nice house, surrounded by tools and equipment suited for tending to its livestock and plants. A typical setting for some kind of hallmark movie for sure, not observing new and intriguing research into space. But then again, he wasnât going to complain. Anywhere that got him closer to the stars was perfect to him.
Finally the car came to a stop, and Senku heard a squeaky screen door as he got out of the car. The rest of the team had arrived earlier in the day, and now they came out to greet him. The whole team consisted of him and three others, and they were very lucky then werenât going to have to camp in the woods for this trip. The owner here told them his house was set up to have enough room for all of them ontop of the space he needed for him and his daughter. Good. Camping under the stars wouldnât bother him, but a shower and a bed at the end of a long day sounded great. His only concern was that the farmers daughter would be one of those nosy kids who wanted to follow them around all day. Not that he had any right to complain about nosy kids
âHey Senku! Let us help with those bags!â One of the other researchers called out as he ran over and helped Senku haul all his supplies out of the car. Each of them brought so much equipment with them, and Senku wasnât any different. Well, maybe he was, because he was the only one who struggled to get most of his stuff in one go.
âYâall put that down, you are guests here and we ainât letting you carry all that in on your own.â A booming manâs voice called out from the house, stopping them in their tracks. âGo on an help them will ya?â
Senku figured the man was the owner, based on the fact he definitely wasnât a scientist and the fact he seemed to be commanding all of them around. Not wanting to be a burden, Senku bent down and tried to at least grab one of the heavier bags before anyone tried to do it for him. His arms shook as he lifted it up and tried to get the strap over his shoulder. Maybe he really should listen to Tsukasa and at least lift those five pound weights he got him.
âHere, let me.â Suddenly the heavy bag was pulled off his shoulders and thrown over the back of the girl in front of him. His eyes scanned over her, shocked to find she was carrying all of the heavy equipment herself and didnât even seem fazed. âYou look like youâre gonna blow over with a strong breeze, all scientists like you?â
The girl was definitely in her early twenties, like himself. Yet she was definitely stronger and more built for this kind of work than he was.
She was also beautiful, which his brain decided to thrown in as almost an afterthought. But he felt himself trying to regain any composure he lost, especially because that little kid he was worried about following them around was not a little kid at all.
She was exactly his type of girl, and he was still standing there with his mouth parted in surprise like an idiot.
âHey, letâs show Senku around the place once we have his stuff inside.â The same researcher that had called out to him suggested, drawing his attention away from the woman finally.
âIâll come with yâall. Donât want you wandering into the bulls pen, as funny as it would be to time how fast ya try to cross the fence.â Her laughter was easy, making the last shred of tension fade after his long trip here. âNow come on, letâs get inside.â
~~
The tour of the place took longer than he originally thought it would. How much could there be to see beside field, tree, and dirt? Apparently, a lot. The area that had been designated for their work was cleared off and devoid of any animals, curtesy of the woman he had met already. As it turns out, they had her to thank for just about everything. She was the one that convinced her father to let them use his land for their work, had set up their rooms, and had self designated that she would be the one cooking their meals for them. Senku was very appreciative, but didnât understand why someone would go through all the trouble she was.
âSo youâre interested in our work?â He asked as he noticed she was leaned up against a nearby fence, watching him set up his equipment. The others had went back to the house to grab their own things and left the two of them alone.
âVery, I know you guys needed to be within a certain area to see some kind of space thing right? It sounds interesting.â She pushed off of the fence and made her way over to Senku, wiping her hands on her clothes as she approached him and leaned over to look at the telescope he was setting up. âSeems fancy.â
âItâs a highly useful tool, and ten billion percent more refined than anything youâd see at a store. Itâs what we are going to use to monitor the movements of what we are studying.â Senku glanced over at her and noticed how close they were. Usually proximity to people made him uncomfortable, but he always had a soft spot for those who were interested in learning. He also had a soft spot for people who could haul this equipment back up each day so he didnât have to.
âNeat. I hope you can tell me more about whatâs going on later. Iâm no scientist like you,â she paused and looked him over, cracking a smile at how differently they were dressed, âbut I like to read about this stuff.â
âI figured youâd be more interested in uh,â he paused, motioning out to the surrounding area in a general manner, âthat.â
âIâm sure you know that most of farming is scientific at its base design. Ph of the soil, temperature and weather systems that can throw off a good harvest, biology.â
âBiology?â He didnât know why he asked. Obviously biology was crucial to her way of living. She gave him a smirk and glanced over to the barn far away from them.
âDonât tell me this is gonna be how you discover how babies are made?â
Senku felt his face flush, which was out of character for him. But something about the tone of voice she used made his mind go into over drive. âI know how they are made.â
âOh good, cause Iâve already had to give my little cousins the birds and the bees talk, and I wasnât too lean on having to sit you down and explain.â Again she laughed at him, and he couldnât even find the energy to be mad. She had a very easy way of talking and joking that put him at ease as well.
âHow old do you think I am, to compare me to your cousins like that?â Senku rolled up his sleeves and got down on the ground to stabilize the legs on his equipment. It wasnât as difficult as he imagined, even with the dirt.
âOld enough that it would be faster to have just given you a demonstration than pull out a book. âCourse the demonstration is still on the table if you ask nicely.â
Senku felt his neck crack from how fast he had whipped his head to look up at her. What in the hell did she mean by that? He figured heâd see her laughing again, but no. Instead she just gave him a wink and started to walk back towards her house. Again Senku was left speechless, but who wouldnât be? He just had someone come onto him in the middle of the day!
~~
âShe said what?â Gens voice could be heard cackling through the phone as Senku held it away from his ear slightly. He already felt like he had made a mistake telling anyone, let alone Gen, that he was pretty sure the farmers daughter was hitting on him. Heâd just let it slip while updating his friend about making it here in one piece, but he should have known not to include that bit of information.
âForget about it, Iâm sure she didnât mean it.â Senku tried to busy his mind with organizing his papers on the desk in the room, even as he heard Gen still laughing loudly over the phone.
âOh I wouldnât be too sure Senku. Youâre a smart and handsome scientist and sheâs just a lonely farm girl, maybe she wants to take your tool out for a spin.â Senkus eyes twitched hearing those words, and his thumb hovered over the button to end the call.
âGen if you canât be serious Iâll just call someone else.â
âBut Senku, who else are you gonna call thatâll explain to you how cowgirl works? Wait Iâm sure she knows-â click. Senku hung up while Gen was mid sentence. He threw his phone behind him onto the bed and stared at the wall. Why did he ever think calling that man would help him?
The logical thing to do was to just go ask you what you meant so he could put it behind him and focus on his work for the rest of the week. At least, thatâs what he told himself as he made his way down the hall to your room. Your father had decided to take the rest of the team out to the store to pick up some essentials for the week, and since there wasnât enough room you had both been left here. It made for the perfect time to confront you.
You were in your room changing out of your work clothes, taking the rough fabric off in exchange for the soft clothes you kept to sleep in. You could heard the floor boards creak as he made his way down the hall, a smile tugging on your lips as the creaks sounded through. Usually youâd never be so open about teasing someone, but from the second you saw him earlier you had him pegged as the type of guy who was more into books than women. Something about that had made you want to tease him. You were at the door before he even knocked, opening it up seconds before his knuckles hit the wood thanks to the old floors. You let your eyes sweep over him, taking in how he looked.
He stood with confidence, and easy look on his face even as you shocked him by getting the door before he even knocked. Youâd noticed earlier his hands were callused, his clothes neat, and he had these beautiful deep red eyes. Overall, he looked exactly like your type.
âWhatâs up Senku?â You leaned against the wooden frame of your door, arms crossing over your chest and you definitely didnât miss the way his eyes had to clicking flick away to hide him watching your every move. He cleared his throat and fell into a more confident grin, one that definitely meant trouble. Or manual labor. Youâd definitely been tricked before by a handsome guy into doing hard work for him.
âI just wanted to talk to you about earlier, you were wanting to hear more about my work right?â You caught the way he said âmyâ instead of âourâ, like he had earlier today. You were definitely on the money about his confidence.
âCome on in.â You stepped aside and let him in the room, shutting the door behind him and wondering what youâd gotten yourself into.
~~
The sounds of hushed whines and gasps quietly filled the room, an occasional squeak of the old bed frame accompanying it all. Your clothes were thrown down to the side of the floor, his discarded close beside it. Your hand lazily stroking him as you leaned over his lean but shockingly toned frame. The quiet sound of your wet hand moving up and down on him as you planted teasing kissed to his jaw had the exact effect on him youâd hoped for.
âThe team was sent out here to observe and research theâ fuck, that feels soââ his raspy voice was strained, trying to stay level as he kept spilling all his favorite science facts and information while you teased him closer and closer to cumming on your hand. All he had done was come here to chat, and somehow heâd ended up naked in your bed with hickeys covering his chest and neck. You could feel his hand shaking as he reached out to grab your hip bone for stability, pulling you closer down to him as you kept working him over. The flushed red tip was positively leaking at this point, threatening to end all your fun soon if you didnât give him more.
âSo, you wanna be a space man then?â You cooed into his ear as you shifted your hand and repositioned his length. The leaky tip was now perfectly lined up with your entrance, even though you werenât doing anything more to ease him inside. Instead you kept stroking him at the same pace, letting each upward motion push him against the wetness of your entrance and coat him in it. You swore you could see his desperation through the glazed over look he had in his eyes.
âAstronaut, the word you were looking for is atroâ oh my god-â his groan slipped out as you sunk down on him finally, letting him slip into you inch by inch. You briefly thought about how youâd always heard the smart ones were better hung than the rest, and you were glad to so your hypothesis was right.
âAw come on Senku, I wanna hear more. Keep telling me all about your work.â Your voice was like a drug to him, combining with the easy way you rocked your hips on him to drive him insane. He thickly swallowed, trying to suppress all the noises threatening to escape him. His hand on your hip held tighter, becoming a guiding hand as you slammed his sensitive head against the soft wall inside of you. He was so worried he was going to finish too fast. What if he did and you laughed at him? Or worse, didnât want to do this again? He only had one choice.
He launched into a full spiel about his work. He started rambling about how he had joined this team, what work he did back home, how he had loved science since he was a young kid and became fascinated by the moon. Every word was a lifeline for him, each breath taken to just hold on a little longer while you rode him. He could feel you dripping down your thighs and onto his. He could hear your moans growing louder and more frequent as you used him like a toy for your own pleasure. Your hips were rocking faster now, grinding down on him and your head had completely fallen down onto his shoulder. He just kept talking. His sentences were getting faster, more broken by his own whines and groans as he felt your squeezing down on him.
Your lips parted and began sucking yet another mark onto him. He felt like he was being branded like one of your cattle, and he was exactly where he wanted to be. Each time he let out another gasp he felt you tighten on him, his length threatening to spill more and more. Maybe it wouldnât be so bad to have a strong girlfriend by his side, able to help lug his stuff around and listen to him yap for hours. Especially not if at the end of the day you begged him to tell you everything he loved about science while bouncing on his cock.
âYouâre doing great, just a little longer yeah?â Your breath tickled his exposed and bruised collar bone as he felt you slowly losing your rhythm. Even as he continued to explain simple experiments he had done as a kid, he reached down with his free hand and started rubbing your clit with the goal that youâd finish before he did.
It was the right call, because you hit down on his neck again and groaned out as you completely lost your momentum and let your body finish around him. You did your best to move through the waves that hit you, completely squeezing him in the right way to push him over the edge as well. As if he hadnât been fighting to stay on the edge
Senkus hand clamped down on your hip and pulled your hips flush together as he bucked up into you, feeling the spurts of cum spilling into you and staining your inside white. Both of your bodies were pouring sweat, both holding new bruises and marks that would be hard to hide later. Neither of you moved, just slowly catching your breath as you finally fully collapsed onto of him.
âSo, still need that talk?â
I went on a deep dive into fanfic culture and drama on here and I just wanna say guys
I hope you all realize Iâm never going to add like banners and funky decoration stuff on my blog.
Apparently people are getting upset about this and just for the record I have no interest in making this thing look âcutesyâ or themed. I only get on here to post fics and read, spending time trying to figure out how to make this thing look a certain way takes time away from trying to work up the inspiration to write again
Also Iâve seen discourse about small blogs getting weird after they blow up? And again I just wanna say if this blog for some reason ever blew up the only change would be me potentially writing more simply because I thrive on positive feedback.
At the end of the day, writing fics is a hobby that makes me happy and I do it in between work and personal life things. I am sorry I cannot provide more works :(
Am I too much of a nobody to make a post? Yup. Still gonna make one cause I want everyone who likes my work to know they can rely on me staying the same.
Oh also if you made it this far send Senku requests my body is ready and willing once more
Most people thought logically, like Senku did. The things that went bump in the night were myths, nothing more and nothing less. Years ago back when people lived in villages folk lore was just stories embellished with false additions, based on mistaken sights and noises.
Hear a twig snap behind you while out gathering wood for a hearth? Clearly it was some demonic creature coming for your soul. At least thatâs how youâd tell the story later to warn children about wandering around without a light. Stories were meant to warn and scare kids, they just snowballed easily. It starts as a warning, leads to someone having a spooky experience, and then the story grows. One simple moment of seeing a shadow move would lead to creatures and spooks coming to harm you. Thatâs how all supernatural stories began.
People in the modern age knew that. People of science like Senku could even explain most of the problems that led to said stories. Everything had a reason and everything could be explained in the modern age.
Vampirism, for example, was merely a disease that had been around for ages. It spread from host to host and infected people through bites, or really any open wound someone who was afflicted accidentally got their blood into. A blood born disease had been the cause of tons of folk lore and scary stories since basically the dawn of time.
Senku wasnât an idiot. With the age of technology and advances in science people realized this disease was real and was easily spread. Precautions were put into place to stop unwanted transmission. Since Senku had a goal to become an astronaut one day, he made sure to follow those rules to the letter. Science was exciting in every aspect, even safety! Especially safetyâs that prevented him from contacting a disease that would prevent him from going to space.
He was always careful. Always.
Everyone else? Not so much.
Who knew that getting a paper cut was a big enough wound to spread vampirism? It was so silly no one had ever tried. So when he got one while studying he didnât even blink an eye. He certainly didnât think about it until he got home that night and noticed his eyes were red. Well, more red than usual. They had a certain shade he was used to seeing in the mirror and the difference was only noticeable to him.
Even still, it was dark out. Maybe he seen things wrong. There would be a reason all the same in the morning and heâd figure it out then.
Then morning came, and he felt a thirst unlike heâd ever experienced in his life. He tried to drink water and all it did was dry him out worse. He tried to check his vitals and found them to be normal, so he must just be needing more electrolytes than he anticipated.
The realization hit him later that day when he tried to attend an evening class and found he couldnât walk a millimeter into the sunlight without burning his skin in red blisters.
It was official then, he had contacted an undeadly disease.
âOh come on Senku, surely with all the advances in medicine theyâll find a cure before youâre ready to try out for the next launch.â Your voice was a comfort to him, reeling him back in from his latest deep dive into the research done over âvampires in spaceâ. ďżź
âYou may be right. Iâve seen research covering that topic more and more lately. Thereâs gonna be a break through soon.â His hand ran over his eyes, rubbing them to relieve the strain that he had put them through the last several hours. You just sat there across from him on his bed, flipping through your textbook with eyes glazed over from hours of studying. He tried to not immediately zero in on how flushed and pink your cheeks were, but his new terrible instincts always seemed to do just that.
Well, not always. Just when he had deprived himself of any blood. Like he kept doing because he refused to give in and buy enough blood at the store. It felt like sustaining his new hunger was the same as giving up hope on his dreams.
It was hurting his body, but when he got the cure heâd be glad that his total number of ounces drank was low. It would make it easier to go back to normal.
It also meant he spent a lot of time trying to ignore how great his friends necks looked. It was a weird thing to find himself drawn to, and even weirder to actively have to force his eyes away.
âHey Senku, can you help me figure out this formula?â Again your words cut through his thoughts, driving him back to the present moment and school work. Without even thinking he got up and moved over to you on the bed, looking over your shoulder at the book. If anything could distract him, it would be science.
âAre you seriously telling me youâve spent the past hour trying to figure the same thing out?â His snarky tone just made you pout and shoot him a look. He couldnât help being a genius, just like he couldnât help how you werenât. âGive me some paper Iâll write it out for you.â
A piece of paper was thrown at him, flying helplessly off his face after it delicately smacked him. He picked it up and started to write out the explanation for you, barely noticing when you leaned in close to read it as he wrote. Once he was done his eyes flicked up to meet yours, the gap between you both only inches.
He couldnât help but notice yet again how bright your cheeks were, and how loud he could hear your blood pumping through your body. His face went pale as he suddenly realized just how hungry heâd let himself get today.
And since you were such an observant partner, so did you.
âHave you eaten today?â You paused, clearly looking him over and getting annoyed by what you saw, âor at all this week? You know you canât keep starving yourself like this.â
âI didnât go to the store yet.â The admission was the truth, though he knew you wouldnât like it. Your face told him that. He couldnât help clearly see your dissatisfaction with him when you were this close together.
âAnd you canât tonight, because everything is already closed.â The huff you let out would have been cute, if he didnât already sense your growing annoyance. He tried to lean away from you, wanting to change the subject and be free of the coming argument. Instead he felt you dive at him and pin him down to the bed, holding him still so he couldnât walk out of your line of rage.
âSo, darling, what are you going to do about this problem?â You held him there, though he wasnât putting up much of a fight. He knew if he did it would only cause more of a couples spat.
âIâm not going toââ he felt the piercing glare before he seen it, and backed off from his sentence. âWhat do you want me to do? You said it yourself everythingâs closed.â
A minute of silence passed between you both, effort you raised up and pulled your shirt off. You kept your eyes on him and how his pupils dilated at that sight.
âIâve got blood to spare, you know.â His hands gripped into your hips, not enough to be painful but enough for you to know he was battling his own thoughts. Clench and unclench. You could feel him working through the logic of it all, trying to fight his instincts and his needs.
âJust a little.â He finally caved, ignoring how bad it made him feel and how stupidly happy it made you.
âAhh! Senku calm down I canât-â you cried out as his lips pressed against your throat, hands trailing all over your body looking for even an inch of skin to grab. You were held tight against his chest, the thrum of your heart beating reverberating as he pressed up behind you more. A moment of pain hit you again, his fangs breaking skin and drinking more of your blood while his fingers found their way under your clothes. He groped at your chest while spreading you open below with his expert precision.
âYouâre wet.â Was the only response you got as he pulled away from your neck and let his fingers explore you below. Teasing fingers eased themselves into you and out of you, just enough for him to soak his hand down. âI didnât take you for a masochist.â
You couldnât help it. You didnât know that letting him use you for food, something so mundane, would be so hot. The second he had a taste of you heâd grabbed you like a desperate man, hands and lips claiming everything they could. Of course it turned you on to have him need you so bad.
âIâm not, youâre justâ fuck, Senkuââ his name tumbled out in a moan as he bit into you again, fangs entering you at the same time as his fingers did. You felt light headed both from the pleasure and the blood loss. Mostly the pleasure though. He rubbed his thumb over you, making quick circles as he worked you open more and more. You could feel him pressing against your thigh with his own need, though he hadnât made any moves yet to relieve that desire.
âIâm not usually one for such vulgar acts, but I think Iâll make an exception this time.â And suddenly you were pushed down onto the bed, a complete reversal of your actions previously. You felt your remaining clothes being pushed aside, exposing you fully to him. âHow about we test and see how long you can last like this?â
Just another face in the crowd (Senku x reader)
âWill you post again?â Author has decided to write angst in response.
Spring semester. The time when you could put the entirety of the previous fall semester behind you, ignoring all the stress, deadlines, friends and enemies you made previously. Who had time for any of that when the birds were singing and new knowledge was being offered at every step?
Spring was a time to clean out old messes and metaphorically wash yourself of anything annoying or embarrassing that happened last semester. It was in a completely different year after all, why hold onto any kind of regret from a whole different year?
Maybe this was a bad way to live. Maybe your friends and some professionals would call it âbirthing the traumaâ or even âcompartmentalizationâ but ultimately it made you feel better and more invigorated so what did it matter?
This was how you were feeling when you rolled into your new lab class, feeling prepared after the lengthy lecture youâd had earlier in the week. The classes worked off of each other so three hours of learning about the inner workings of biology (as much as you could in three hours) made you feel ready to tackle whatever was thrown at you in this practical lab.
That was of course, til you seen the lab had very few students in it, none of which you recognized from the lecture. Youâd be tasked with making friends and hopefully getting along well enough to work together.
If only you could be so lucky to get such a clean start.
Youâd be lying if you said you hadnât subconsciously been scanning every face in the room. Youâd be lying if you said you hadnât been doing that since the beginning of the semester. There was one face that you searched for and you werenât even sure if you were looking out of fear or devotion.
Regardless, this time your eyes landed on their mark.
Crimson eyes locked onto yours, even if it was just for a moment.
Instantly so many emotions started to flood your head. Smiles shared over the corners of textbooks, snacks left at your desk on particularly hard days, late night texts shared between the both of you as exams came and went. The idea of something that wasnât quite friendship or romance, but somewhere lost in between the two.
Now replaced by a deep longing for old times that you had tried to forget and move on from. Who knew that the last time you had stolen a kiss while he talked about science would be the last time? Who knew that the last time he had called you his favorite idiot would be the last nice thing he ever told you?
Who knew that when finals rolled around he would drop you completely, asking why you ever thought it was a relationship.
All of this passed through your head in an instant, barely the same span of time that it took him to blink and look away. He turned his attention to the lab sheet laid out on the table in front of him and his lab partner, completely overlooking you yet again.
Once you took your seat you barely registered the girl you had accidentally paired yourself with by joining her table. The sound of her introduction drowned out by the tears threatening to make their way to the front and not be crushed down any longer. You hadnât cried in months, and even then you only let yourself have one brief breakdown before trying to g to redirect.
Maybe you should have processed some of these pent up emotions.
âHey, did you know them?â You heard another classmate lean over and asked Senku, poking him with a pen as his eyes glanced back at you. Senku barely looked up enough to see where he was being directed, his eyes sliding over your face.
âHuh? Oh yeah we had some classes together.â
Just a few classes, that was all that was in your history now. And with how he reacted, it was all that was in your future as well.
