I fixed this scene.
Life changed, but that’s a sadder story…
This week, I read a fic that was around 20 years old, which had originally been posted on the author's personal website and which she added to AO3 a few years ago. She listed her email address with the fic, so after I finished reading, I sent her an email saying how much I enjoyed the story, how much I appreciated the work and effort she obviously put into it, and thanked her for uploading it to AO3. She responded the next day and thanked me for my message, then said she had a few more stories in the same series that she hadn't gotten around to uploading. I checked this morning--she added a 35,000 word novella and thanked me in the summary.

Rip Shannen Doherty ... You were a legend
SHANNEN DOHERTY AS PRUE HALLIWELL IN CHARMED SEASON THREE EPISODE FOUR “ALL HALLIWELL’S EVE”
Everytime ao3 is down I'm reminded of two things:
One is that humans have and always will love telling stories, and they will continue to do so even if there is no benefit to telling these stories, but simply because we love creating things
The other is that a concerning amount of people use fanfiction as a form of escapism and we should probably look into that
My favorite form of escapism
I am writing this story as well: After the financial crisis of 1929, many aristocratic families were forced to sell their estates and move to smaller properties. The Roxton family was, at that time, carrying out a general refurbishment of their library and the restoration of old paintings. Behind the painting "Captain John Roxton," they discovered a hidden treasure map that could lead them to a treasure that might save their estate from the crisis.
I'm writing a story related to Marguerite being an international jewel thief. This will be one of the diamonds in the story. I've envisioned it as a pink gold rose with a pinkish-red diamond inside it, and because it looks like a blooming rose, it will be called "La Rosa in Fiore." This was the diamond that eluded her all her life.
This is how I would feel it Beckers ever finished Apparition at Avebury
Can we just… appreciate this scene for a second?

What I love, about Roxton & Marguerite. And why I’ll never get over them.
So there’s a lot of reasons, and I likely won’t cover all of them, but there’s a magnetism to this OTP that completely cancels out the campy, low CGI quality of the late 90′s. I hate to use the term realism, but there really is a sense of realism in how they portray the relationship and I’m sure that comes down to Will and Rachel’s chemistry (having worked together multiple times before, I think allowed them the freedom to really embrace Roxton and Marguerite’s strengths and weaknesses as a couple) so here is the cliff notes:
