i know i've talked them to death but y'all the way kageyama went from not comprehending how hinata could trust his tosses enough to jump with his eyes close to trusting hinata blindly in turn every time he had to set an imperfect toss or his back is against a wall. And the way it starts from kageyama choosing to trust hinata with the ball and then slowly along the way morphing into blind trust, the type that you dont think about, a toss you only begin to comprehend until after it's already left your hands and once kageyama deals with the gravity of that, he chooses again, purposefully!!! to keep choosing hinata, to keep having faith in him. I feel like I've always been very clear that there is a huge difference between criminalizing something that does direct damage to a specific individual, and banning something simply because it seems "gross".

I’m literally against censorship and I believe there should be media addressing and confronting sensitive and controversial topics

I just see that argument being used to defend actually harmful stuff too often and I believe in the right to write whatever you want privately but publicly I think there should be a line

And I don’t think using certain topics is okay if you’re only gonna showcase them and not explore their impact and why they’re harmful/what they can do to a person and the direct reality of it

I’m not really an expert on this, so maybe I’m not the right person to speak on this topic. But I am a literature student, and in my course, sometimes we’re asked to read and analyze works tackling sensitive topics

The problem with that kind of argument is that it requires someone to play as judge on what actually counts as Harmful stuff and the Correct Way to Write Them so that such laws can then be put in place. But the thing is, even if you are the smartest or most morally right person in the world, the decision should never rely on just one person or even one institution.

Plus, once you start throwing out the label Harmful on any one thing, the Authorities in charge of policing such works can so easily abuse their power to paste that label on any work they personally find gross.... and when that happens, the first to be hit are oftenmost vulnerable groups. We already see it happening now: LGBT works being banned in some places because they’re considered “obscene” and a “bad influence” on the children

actually, I’m of the belief that reading is not a one-way street. A work’s value is not defined solely by what the author says it means but also by how readers engage with it. If, say, a Poorly-Written Bad Work evokes such visceral reactions on a person, then perhaps that person should take that as an avenue to explore their thoughts and feelings on why such things are Wrong or Bad or Harmful. It deepens one’s understanding on why exactly it is Bad instead of just thinking “It’s bad because it’s taboo.” It also broadens one’s mind on the different ways abuse can play out, so in the unfortunate case one witnesses such things happening in reality, they’ll be better prepared to confront it.
