Having been called the “House Queen of the DMV,” Confetti The First lays down House, Electro, and Trance music like it's encoded in her DNA. Her high-energy, fun sets light up the dancefloor and will leave you a hot mess begging for more! Quickly becoming a household name in the EDM scene in the greater DC, Maryland, and Virginia area, Confetti The First brings the beats that will make you dance all night long.
This female Selecta’s decision to become a DJ came after a long string of life plans that weren’t quite right, varying from pre-law to musical theatre. The love of music was always there (her parents both play many instruments and sing, and always tried to have their kids inherit that musicality through instruments). The answer came from a matter-of-factly suggestion from a friend: "You should be a DJ. You love music more than anyone I know. It would be perfect for you." From then on, and after laying her fingers on a pair of CDJs, there's been no looking back.
In her time on the scene, she’s been privileged enough to play at venues such as The Black Hole in Dundalk, Red Maple in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore, The Get Down in Fells Point, Baltimore, Soundstage in Powerplant, Baltimore, The Paradox in Baltimore, Sonar in Baltimore, 9:30 Club’s Backbar in DC, Ultrabar in DC, Empire in Springfield, Flash in DC, play for event companies such as B.A.D.ASS, Panorama Productions, Symbiotic, NU Andoids, GLAS Mix Project, and run events such as National Night Out in Ellicott City, BMORE Proud at UMBC, Pandora’s Boxx in Baltimore, Lunar Eclipse in Colonial Beach Virginia, and hold two separate residencies in Ellicott City and two in Baltimore. She has also had the pleasure of opening for names such as DJ Micro, Elite Force, Helicopter Showdown, 2rip, Baggi Begovic, Venom, DJ Shiftee, Designer Drugs, Wes Smith, Laxx, and Nina Las Vegas.
Confetti The First has also solidified two residencies on radio shows, one being “The Audio Infusion,” on WEAA 88.9 FM in Baltimore, and “More Bass Radio: Confetti Cannon Presents” on More Bass Radio, online.
If you haven’t heard her electrifying four-on-the-floor infectious beats, get out from under that rock you’ve been living under and get dancing to the DMV’s favorite female DJ.
