About My Trans Bloom AU <3

Its a full AU/rewrite of the Original Winx Club.

You can find the AU on ao3 here!

The main change as the title suggests is that Bloom is a trans man.

There are also tons of world building changes and changes to the magic system.

I am in the process of planning out the full AU, but I am a college student so currently I am only writing scenes and alternate POVs for the AU. This means some things I write now will not be entirely accurate to the final story.

I'm also an artist and I love drawing my Bloom, so there will be a lot of art for this AU.

It's only going to be based off of seasons 1-4 (I only watched up to season 3 as a kid).

I'd love to answer questions and take suggestions! Please just be nice, my brain is convinced I am terrible at writing just because I can't write well in the foreign languages I know (long story).

Minor Spoilers for ORV

I think so much about the parallels between Kim Dokja and Lee Sookyung. Like, of course Kim Dokja's mom went to jail for her son. Of course her further efforts to protect him (writing the book) only hurts him even more. No wonder kdj is who is, Lee Sookyung is his mom. I rarely see enough media with such a nuanced depiction of the effects of abuse and ORV does it so well and so subtly.

Non-Magic AU

I just really like the idea of in a non-magical world Bloom being a firefighter and Sky being a nurse.

Maybe they would meet in the emergency room and bond over wanting to help people. Bloom could get injured on the job and Sky takes care of him.

I think it would be really cute.

(May write this as a fanfic at some point lol)

✨ Fun fact about my Bloom ✨

Bloom struggled to make any friends his age because they always found him slightly off-putting. Limbs too long, eyes too wide, teeth too sharp, ears too pointy that sort of thing. Befriending the rest of the Winx was the first time he didn't feel like he was an outsider.

Very old art but I still like it. This is an early but still pretty accurate drawing of my Winx redesign for my Trans Bloom AU. You can tell that my art improves drastically when I'm willing to spend any time on it lol. I will probably come back to this soon to color and clean it up. :)
