I am in love with your photos! Makes me homesick for a place I've never called home. I miss Samoa and need to make a trip back soon.
Hopefully, Samoa WILL see you again real soon. :)
Always loved this part. When the raw food is put on top of the pre-heated rocks and they start steaming like this.
Off cuts of the taro and ulu fruits using a tin can scraper, of course.
Breaking the ulu in half. If you look closer you can see the specks of flesh flying off. Should have increased my shutter speed a little more. Oh well.
More Palusami! Lol. Before the cooking begins.
Samoan pram
Walks on sandy beaches.
Where the rest of the world meets Samoa.
Taken at "Home Cafe", Cross Island Road, Tanugamanono, Samoa. Awesome Barista's and Chef's. Nice and cozy set up, too.
Coffee in Samoa always tastes better. Next time I'll have kokosamoa. Taking a break. :p
Taken at the Fish Market in Samoa. Love the mixture of concepts here. Afakasi with Tauvae, matured man with technology, waiting for the boats.
Young and carefree children. Samoa on the front. ;)
Wooden bowls at the Flea Markets. Apia, Samoa.
Like I said, I just fall for the colours you find in market places.
You know stuff is going down when someone comes to battle with a 1 and a half meter weapon. Lol. Samoan wars.
Monkey see, monkey do. Not quite Samoan, but hey, we still sell it at the markets. Always LOVE the flea market colours.
