Churches are good for prayer, but so are garages and cars and mountains and showers and dance floors.

The Front Bottoms//Twin Size Mattress- Studio acoustic Version It’s no big surprise you turned out this way. When they close their eyes and prayed you would change And they cut your hair, and sent you away You stopped by my house the night you escaped With tears in my eyes, I begged you to stay You said, “Hey man, I love you but no fucking way”
number two.
Why do you still talk to Eddie when everyone of your friends has so many reasons to hate him?
My friends have absolutely no reason to hate him. The whole thing is silly and it breaks my heart thinking about the way he has been treated in the past by people that I know. Honestly, that was a long time ago. It doesn’t come up much anymore and I think everyone has sort of moved on. He is my friend, has been my friend, and will continue to be my friend regardless of what anyone that I know may think of him. In my past two years of knowing him he has treated me with nothing but kindness and shown me nothing but love. I’m not going to sacrifice a friendship just because one day a few of my friends woke up and decided they hated him.
Dude Eddie is a cool guy. Nothing but love for Eddie Rios.
You gave to me all I know I will stay here, I will not go….

I was wondering if, maybe, you wanted to hang out tonight?
We could make dinner or something..
Part of your charm was the way you would push me from all of the traps that I just couldn’t see. Figures the one that was there to have tripped you up would be the one was set there by me.
Wish I was there to say goodbye when you went away. Wish I was home but noplace was there. I cut off my arm at the bone in solidarity. Capital teaches that there’s less when you share. I felt the noose tighten up on your collar bone. I felt the gun in the small of your back. Engraved in the stone by request and recurse of friends dead is “Tell me again that it’s all in my head.”

American Football | Never Meant
let’s just forget everything said and everything we did best friends, better halves, goodbyes and the autumn night when we realized we were falling out of love there were some things that were said that weren’t meant like we never did not to be overly dramatic i just think it’s best cause you can’t miss what you forget so let’s just pretend everything and anything between you and me was never meant
Manliness.
So the other night, 2 buddies of mine and I were sitting around the fire at 2am after a long day of work. He had been having good discussions for a few hours. One of the guys asked a question that I haven't asked myself before. "Do you consider yourself a man?" Interesting. I'll be 19 in a month and supposedly, these are the times when I am entering adulthood. Manhood. But to answer this question, we had to first ask, "How do you define a man?" We all gave our answers. One person defined manliness as: sticking to your views and not being peer pressure. Another defined it as: being able to support a family. After thinking about it for awhile, I realized that there is a definite answer. How do you define a man? Jesus. Jesus was the ultimate man. Obviously, it's because he worked with wood and had a beard :) He was perfect and did everything perfectly. He knew the right way to do everything. That's the kind of guy that we should try to be like if you ask me. Anyways, I did some research and some studying (and a lot of internet use) and I found some things in the Bible that tell us how to be a man.
Having the fruits of the spirit.
Galations 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Obedient to the Father's will, about the Father's business.
Hebrews 10:9-10
9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Determination to accomplish God's will, whatever the cost.
Isaiah 50:7
7 Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.
Endure opposition and never lose heart.
Hebrews 12:3
3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
A man of the Word.
Matthew 4:1-10
1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.
man of Prayer.
Mark 1:35
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
man of Love and Sacrifice.
John 13:1
1 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”
Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”
9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!”
10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him,and that was why he said not every one was clean.
12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
Do everything in love.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 14 Do everything in love.
Above reproach.
1 Timothy 3:2-7
2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.
Give up childish ways.
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Now, it's true. We are imperfect people. We are broken people. There's no way we can do this all the time for the rest of our lives. But we can try our best every day. If we fail, start fresh the next day and be like Jesus, the manliest man of all.
