“Not now,” Talia assured him knowing she meant her words full heartedly, “ I know how you feel about me know. But in school? That was different.”

“Okay, I was an idiot in high school. I spent way too much time around Miles to be healthy.” Connor shook his head with a laugh. He loved his brother, but he knew they were a bad mix when they were teenagers. “I’m sorry I ever made you doubt that.”

“I’ve always accepted it I just wasn’t sure if it was something you’d want. You’re always doing something right though.”

“Of course it’s something I want, Tal. You don’t really worry that it’s not, do you?”

“Okay but your personality is obnxious asshole to everyone else. With me it’s a giant teddy bear that refuses to let me more than five feet away from you not that I’m complaining in the slightest about it. Actually I enjoy it.”

“I’d hope at this point you’ve at least accepted it, or still like that about me.” Connor shrugged, grinning, “I’m still doing something right.”

“You haven’t annoyed me in even the slightest. You’re the best thing in my life, Connor. When are you going to realize you’re stuck with me? Nothing you do is going to change that.”

“It’s not my fault my personality is an obnoxious asshole sometimes,” Connor laughed, shaking his head. “I’m not stuck with you. It’d be impossible to think that way.”

“And they’re never going to wonder if I’m in love with their dad. After all I have been since basically the beginning of time,” She pointed out as she laughed lightly before leaning in to rest her forehead against his, “You still steal my breath away, Connor.”

“You mean I haven’t annoyed you to hell yet? That’s actually kind of impressive.” Connor laughed, putting his arms around her, “not that I’m complaining.”

“Forever, hmm?” She asked him as she leaned in to rest her forehead against his, “As long as you promise we can be those disgustingly gushy parents that make our kids grossed out because we love each other so much I think I can live with loving you forever.”

“That’s the plan,” Connor grinned, kissing her nose. “Oh, I have plans to embarrass them as much as possible. I’m gonna have too much fun with it, but they’ll never doubt I love their mom.”

“I mean you got lucky because you’re literally the hottest man I’ve ever seen,” She pointed out running her hand along his jaw line taking a soft sigh, “I get to spend the rest of my life making you realize how true that statement is.”

“Oh, well thank you.” Connor grinned, turning his head to kiss the inside of her palm. “I know it’s true, babe. But we do have forever to remind each other of it, I’m gonna make sure of it.”

“How did I get so lucky that you’re all mine?” She asked him curiously, “I love you so much. Do you know that? Because it’s kind of a big deal for me.”

“I ask myself the same thing.” Connor admitted, nodding his head, “I do know that, Tal. And it’s just as big of a deal for me. I love you more than anything.”

“We can start looking then,” She told him excitedly as she leaned in to kiss him deeply, “They just want to make sure you’re not going to hurt me when I know for a fact that you won’t.”

Connor let out a laugh as he kissed her, before shrugging. “I don’t mind them hating me if they think it’s what it’ll take.” He promised.

“I know that I’m ready, but it’s not just me to take into consideration,” She reminded him. “None of them hate you though. Not when you clearly make me so happy.”

“I’m ready, Tal. I promise.” Connor grinned, letting out a dramatic sigh, “I know they don’t. But you’ve gotta admit, they have fun pretending.”

“I’m so tired of you leaving almost every night when all I want is to wake up to you every single day,” She admitted heavily leaning up to kiss him quickly, “They don’t hate you at all because you love me so much.”

“We can fix that. If you think we’re ready, then I’m ready.” He promised, kissing her back with a quick smile, “they hate me in a skeptical way. But I will take what I can get.”

“You know I’ve been thinking about us moving in together,” she admitted tipping her head up in order to look up at him, “Someday we’re all going to be best friends.”

“Oh, yeah?” He asked, a smile spreading on his face as he looked down at her. “Someday we will. Or they’ll stop hating me quite so much, which I’d take as a win.”

“You’ll be lucky if you ever get rid of me,” Talia admitted brushing her lips along his neck, “Kieran better like me. We shared a womb after all, and he took half the food in there.”

“I wouldn’t call being rid of you lucky.” Connor argued, instinctively tilting his head to the side. “Well, that was rude of him.” He laughed quietly, “I’m sure Juliet makes up for that.”

“Mmm you’re not getting rid of me that easily,” Talia promised as she moved to drape herself over his lap, “Besides if I have to deal with Kieran all week so do you. “

“I hope not.” Connor grinned, wrapping an arm around her. “Okay, but Kieran likes you.” He argued, shaking his head, “I’ll be there, though. I promise.”

Talia knew that she was almost done with her under graduate but still any break she could get away from her law books was a blissful break that she needed. “Do you think I can just melt here and not move?”

“I’m all for not moving.” Connor agreed, slumping into the back of the couch, “but try not to melt. It’d be hard explaining that’s how you dumped me.”

“Me either,” Talia admitted drapping herself over her boyfriend sighing heavily, “Can I get some boyfriend time?”

“Of course,” Connor grinned, putting his arms around her. “You know I can’t ever say no to that.”

“I’ve never been so happy to see summer in my life.” Connor sighed, feeling a sense of relief.
