Alex nodded, lacing his fingers with each other and biting his lip. He waited for her to lead the way, so that he wouldn’t wander in this house. He would wander, too, and sift through everything, read the books, examine each room. He needed to sit still, if he wanted help.
“Hopefully he can just tell me I’m doing well and that I don’t need to worry about much…”
“I think everything will be fine. By the scan- I mean looks of you, you seem to be in fine health if that’s what you were worried about.” She gestured him upstairs and led him to the bathroom door, “I’ll go get fresh towels. I think they’re almost done in the dryer.”
