Election 2016: Thoughts/Insight
Warning: The following might come off as disorganized/incoherent as I had a little trouble getting my thoughts together, but here they are nonetheless. I didn’t want to make a post, but upon seeing the reaction from my friends, I felt it was important I voice my opinion on this matter.
1. I get it, most of you are upset. However, don't be upset with the voters, even if you think they may be racist, bigoted, uninformed, and/or regressive. We're all entitled to our opinions and political freedoms. In fact, I have friends who support Trump who aren’t racist, bigoted, uninformed, and/or regressive. They simply didn’t want to elect a proven criminal, but rather elect a candidate who wasn’t bought by the elite. So again, don’t get mad at voters and assume all Trump supporters are racist. Yes, there are those few that embody those hateful characteristics, but not all do. Be open minded and understand others and their reasoning for voting.
2. If you want to be upset with anyone, you should be upset with the DNC. They had the choice between Bernie & Hillary, and they chose a criminal to lead us. Her favorability ratings were terribly low and was much lower compared to Bernie’s. In terms of polling, Bernie was consistently ahead of Trump by double digits where as HRC was consistently very close with Trump and in some polls ended up losing to him. If you think for a second that it wasn’t rigged in her favor and “she won the primaries fair and square!!” then you need to get your head out of your ass. Read up a bit on the DNC and the entire primary. Wikileaks tells us all about how the DNC was anti-Bernie since the start and never gave him a fair shot at the ticket. They treated him as a threat to HRC as opposed to a viable candidate even when he was polling so well against Trump. They even issued him a public apology after the email leak exposed them.
3. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not for Trump. I don’t support his racist, misogynist, xenophobic attitude and it’s unacceptable. The things he has said are not okay at all. But I’ve seen an image shared across social media of “misogynistic, xenophobic, racist vs. emails”. If you think for a second that the emails aren’t an issue compared to his remarks, you’re highly mistaken. Most of the people saying the emails aren’t important or that she was cleared of all charges twice aren’t aware of the content of the emails. The emails expose the corrupt nature of her campaign, the DNC, and her/her husband. She’s been a pay to play politician for quite some time now along with her husband. Her and Bill had accumulated over $30 million by 2001 and was set to be paid another $66 million over the span of 9 years. So no, the issue was never really about her using the server illegally, it was about the shady shit her and her husband have been involved in over the past decade plus.
4. Don’t get mad at third third party voters. There are reasons to vote third party besides rebelling against the establishment, HRC, and the DNC. It’s not just the refusal to vote for either candidate. If a third party candidate, whether libertarian or green or whatever in between received at least 5% of the popular vote, they would then receive more funding from the FEC in the next election. This is actually huge because we’ve become so caught up this two party system that we forget there are other viable candidates and parties, granted a two party system prevents over saturation of similar candidates. This gives the third party, although not huge, a decent boost in funding and spotlight. I understand the issue people have with the vote, especially in places like Florida where if all the third party voters voted HRC, she would have won the state. However, there’s no evidence those third party voters even had HRC in mind. They could have been stuck between third party and Trump for all we know, so there’s no proof it would have even made a difference. So in fact, if you reside in a state like New York or California that votes pretty much one way, don’t waste your time getting upset at a third party voter. It didn’t change a damn thing. And if you insist on getting mad at a third party voter, did you take the time to contact your friends in swing states to convince them to vote HRC? No? Then stfu. You have no right to be mad at third party voters in blue or red states. You have no right to be mad at voters period, but this gives you even less reason.
5. There have been presidents in the past who have lost the popular vote but won the electoral votes. It’s not unheard of and does not mean our government is broken. In fact, although she won the popular vote, she only won by 200k~ votes out of the 120 million votes that were cast. She won by .1%.. That’s pretty much a virtual tie. This isn’t a talking point or even a topic of discussion. If she won the popular vote by a sizable margin, fine I get your complaint, but she didn’t..
6. However, our system is without a doubt broken. Money in elections is destroying the trust we have in our candidates. You wonder why HRC lost? It’s because of who’s backing her, who’s funding her campaign, who her top donors are, and who has filled her pockets time and time again. The corporate elite have funneled tons of money into her pockets and into her campaign and we know it’s not because they think she’s a splendid candidate. It’s because she has their interests in mind. She is looking out for their well being and their success. This causes distrust with voters and extremely low favorability.
7. Another thing I’ve seen trending: Sign this petition so the electoral college doesn’t vote Trump on December 19th. This kind of shit needs to stop. The electoral college is the system we were given which we’ve been using for years and yes I know, it’s not perfect. It gives swing states way too much power and other states lack of power. New York and California, the two states with the largest population, have the least power in that they’re pretty much solidified as a blue states. Some of our votes for HRC or Trump wouldn’t have made a difference ultimately. However, it gives small states and less populated areas a voice. It allows for the farmer in which ever bumblefuck town to have a chance to make a difference as opposed to New York & California deciding everything due to their large populations. So don’t try to fight this by urging the electorates from voting for the candidate their people voted for. They are meant to represent their state and vote the way their state voted. By being a faithless elector, they’re basically telling the people that nothing in this government can be trusted and their vote TRULY does not matter wherever you are, swing state or not.
8. Bouncing off that, what if the situation were reversed? What if HRC won the electoral votes and Trump won the popular vote? What if all these Trump supporters started coming out to sign petitions and urge the electoral college to not vote HRC but rather Trump? Would you think it’s fair? Would you think it’s okay to engage in such activity? It’s not a viable option and it’s not okay to find whatever loopholes you can just to make the situation in your favor. Don’t push an agenda when you don’t know the consequences. Urging the electoral college to not vote Trump, pushing to impeach Trump, and fighting violence with violence and all rash decisions people are making without even thinking about the outcome. As mentioned before, urging the electoral college to not vote Trump is a shitty and poorly thought out move. The DNC already rigged the primary for HRC, why do we need to rig the election for the HRC? It’s essentially a big fuck you to democracy. Impeach Trump? Are you dense? If you impeach Trump, you now have Mike Pence, the literal scum of the earth. I would pick Trump over Pence ANY day. And violence is never an answer even in times of violence. Violence vs. violence or hate vs. hate just breeds more violence and hate.
9. Some of the reasons to not vote for Trump and/or to vote for HRC literally make no sense. Him being supported by the KKK leader doesn’t mean Trump has ties to the KKK. It just means there are policies where they align with each other, but it no way shape or form automatically means they’re one in the same. Trumps a liar and a cheater? Haaaave you met HRC? She’s clearly in the same caliber if not worse. Trump only cares about himself? Do you have any proof of this? Has he never helped anyone in need before? One that really irked me was that people apparently “gave up the opportunity” to elect the first woman president ever. Making history is NOT a valid reason to vote for someone. Would you prefer the first woman president to be also one of, if not the most corrupt president ever? Or would you prefer to wait for the proper woman to be elected to lead this country, someone like an Elizabeth Warren? And I won’t even start again on the whole email scandal. Innocence proved nothing. And to just think about things from both perspectives, you either voted for an insensitive, misogynistic racist with lack of experience/paid influence or the most corrupt politician, second only to her husband Bill, with a vast amount of experience/paid influence. Is either one really better than the other? If you want to argue for one or the other, please please please use logic and reasoning to do so. Don’t list those above reasons or you just sound like a jackass. Use real reasoning and tell it like it is. HRC is bad, but she’s the lesser of two evils. Trumps rhetoric and attitude promotes hatred, racism, and violence. Trump lacks any real experience to lead a country and will most likely rely on Pence, his infinitely worse running mate, for guidance. HRC at least has positive and progressive ideals where as Trumps ideals tend to be more regressive than not. These are some real reasons to vote HRC, not because we need to make history and elect a woman or because someone bad supported Trump. It’s just poor logic..
10. The racism, hate, and violence has already began and I feel terrible for the people affected. No one deserves to be undermined and harassed the way people are across this nation, especially with it being just two days since Trump was elected. It’s disgusting and sickening, but if you think about it, this was going to happen regardless of who won. If HRC won, the Trump supporters would’ve all came out of the woodworks, also burned flags, bashed anyone anti-Trump, and caused even more violent protests. It was going to happen one way or another. What this did was expose the facade of racial equality throughout the country. Some thought we we’ve been making progress but boy are we wrong. This really proved to us that we have to work that much harder to achieve what we want. Granted, yes, if HRC won, the violence and racism would not be embraced, but it would have been exposed nonetheless.
11. Some data that might bring some more/better insight as to why HRC lost:
Popular Vote for Obama in 2012: 66~ million Popular Vote for HRC in 2016: 60~ million
Millennial Voter Turnout in 2008: 51% Millennial Voter Turnout in 2016: 19%
Latino Vote for HRC in 2016: 65% Latino Vote for Trump in 2016: 29%
Female Vote for HRC in 2016: 54% Female Vote for Trump in 2016: 42%
These statistics are fucking alarming..
HRC lost roughly 6 million votes compared to Obama in 2012. How does one who runs against the likes of Trump, not GAIN more votes? How does one possibly LOSE votes at a time like this? Shouldn’t the hate and disdain for someone like Trump drive voters to get out and vote? HRC and her lack of favorability proved to result in extremely low voter engagement..
Millennials, my peers, chose not to go out and vote this year. Why? Probably because no candidate appeals to their needs and wants. Selfish? Sure. But end of the day, it’s the candidates job to entice you to vote. It’s the candidates job to convince voters to go out and make a difference. They are supposed to EARN our votes, not expect them handed over. She clearly didn’t do enough to engage voters and ensure she was not just the right choice, but a good choice..
Next, the Latino vote. How in the hell did Trump even get 29%? Out of 100 people, that’s 29 people who voted for Trump after he basically called Mexican immigrants criminals and rapists.. He is the ideal candidate to run against, yet you couldn’t get secure a larger lead in this category.
Now this is the icing on the cake. She only had 54% of the female vote this year. 54%. I repeat, 54%. How do you possibly, as a female candidate, only get half the female votes? How does Trump, who has so many nasty things to say about and towards women, not get crushed in this category? How is it even this close? It should be 80% / 20%, no less of a margin of victory.
But as I’ve mentioned before, it’s because the DNC rigged the primaries for her, and gave us the worst possible candidate to run against Trump. They literally had Bernie Sanders, who was leading Trump by double digits, who had the backing of millennials, Latinos, and even Republicans, and they gave it all away because they were blinded by the money, blinded by the corruption, and had their head so far up their asses, they didn’t realize they weren’t giving the people the best possible candidate, whether it was against Trump or not. They assumed from the start that a campaign against Trump would be a cake walk, but clearly it didn’t work out as planned. But I digress.. there’s no use in explaining any further why Trump is our president elect. HRC was corrupt, disengaging, dismissive, thus resulting in the lack of favorability. Trump appealed to his party, but HRC clearly did not appeal to hers.
Fantastic job by the DNC for rigging the election in Trumps favor..

Closing Thoughts:
I know I just ranted and there’s without a doubt a lot of anger in my words, but don't crumble under the pressure and stress of this election. Be hopeful and take action when the opportunity rises. Midterm Elections in 2018 will be your next chance. If you're unhappy, don't complain, don't cry, don't protest, don’t act out as these things won't change anything. Be proactive and make a difference where and when it actually counts. Urge your friends and family, even if their views don’t align with yours, to vote whenever possible, and in our case as mentioned before, the Midterm Elections in 2018. It’s our next chance to make a difference in this clearly divided country of ours. Or if you’re not content with just voting, then think about a life in politics. Maybe you should get more involved and educate yourself in how politics work and how you can make a difference as a public servant or politician. Be the driving force in making the changes you want to see in our country and our people. If you feel so strongly about this election or the direction this country is going, then go out and make a difference, but do it the right way.

I Hate My Life
Where do I begin..? First off, my boss is a greedy fuck. All he does is sit in his office counting his money. Counting the money he should be paying us, but instead, we get paid this shitty minimum wage, no tip salary. I’ve been working here for over 5 years now and every time I ask for a raise, he flips a shit. Second, my coworker is an asshole. I treat him so nice and he just ignores me everyday. I say hi, he grunts. I say bye, he grunts. What the actual fuck man. I even compliment him when he plays that shitty instrument of his that he clearly doesn’t know how to even play. Third, my best friend, although I love him, is an utter dumbass. Literally the dumbest person I know. He’s so unaware of things it’s like he lives under a rock.. But he’s loyal, so I keep him around. Loyalty is very uncommon nowadays. Finally, I think the bitch at the DMV is racist. I’ve taken my test at least 5 times and she always fails me. It’s always the same fat bitch who gives the test and I swear she has in it for me. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever pass. ..And to make things worse, I live in a fucking pineapple under the sea.

hey that’s me too
hey it’s me
42 Years.
September 19th, 2015 marked 42 years of marriage for my parents. That’s 42 years of happiness. 42 years of stress. 42 years of experiences they’ll never forget. But most importantly, 42 years of unconditional love.
It’s incredible how after 42 years, they still love each other so much. Although I don’t see them as often, when I do, I can still feel the undying love between them. Through all the waves of emotions, the ups and downs, and countless arguments I’ve seen, they still maintain that bond they promised to never break 42 years ago.
I feel like the concept of love and marriage has changed so drastically over the years. People claim they love each other, yet you find them constantly lying, cheating, and breaking promises and bonds they swore to never break. It completely belittles and diminishes the whole concept of love and what it means to love. Now I’m not saying that every relationship or marriage should be perfect without any struggle, but I feel like it’s far too uncommon to find genuine and honest love.
So this post is for you Mom & Dad. You truly inspire me. You give me hope that true love does exist and one day I will find my partner to spend the rest of my life with too, just as you found each other so many years ago. I love you both so much.
