“Argh! Game over!”, Drew got frustrated as his fighting avatar got beaten by Dante. “So who’s the best fighter? Winner gets another mushroom pizza/”, he laughed. Drew pouted and gave him another set of coins. “You.” He grumbled, leaving the Dante, passes Bella, with Thuban clicked and following him. Dante turned his back, still in a sitting position to her. “Well, he’ll be back. He might listen to his headphones for a while or playing iPod games.”

“I’m not surprised,” she smirks. “I got into the band! So I am celebrating.” She looked towards the Mario Kart game. “Wanna race?”

“Well sure. Wanna bet?”, Dante smirked. He stood up and walked to another cart. “If you win, you’ll get a Hawaiian pizza. If I win, buy me a meatza.”

“I got a better idea… If I win… Introduce me to your brother Vergil?” she blushes.

“Pffft....”, he chuckled, covered his mouth with his palm. “Deal.”, he started to insert some arcade tokens. “Ready?”

The Celebration.

Bella had finally realized her dream. She had made it to the marching band. Her parents, proud of their little girl, decided to treat her to some pizza.

She sat in the car, excited about this night ahead. The ride seemed to take forever.

The family finally arrived at Pazzi’s Pizza. As the waitress sat them at their table, her mom gave her some money to play a few games as they waited for their food. As she got to the Mario Kart game, she saw a few familiar faces.

“Drew! Dante! Over here! ”

Posted on the wall near the lockers was a sign :

“Band tryouts today! Looking for woodwinds, brass, and percussion players. 15h today. ”

Many students looked at the flier. Some looked with interest, some rolled their eyes and walked away.

Bella, flute in hand…made note of the 15:00 time. She was going to be there.

“…Hey. Marching band?”, someone suddenly walked aside her. A boy of her age. He has nearly white, cream hair, bright colored skin. He brought two items that quiet able to describe his likes. A red headphone with green markings, and weirdly, a small t-rex dragon with green horns, sitting on his left shoulder like an iguana. His right hand got some scales revealing from his a bit oversized jacket. He tapped his foot for a few times, listening to the dubstep music. He seems new, so not all kids know him.

“Yeah…. Do you play an instrument?” Bella looked at him curiously. “I plan to be there, with my flute.”

“Heh.”, he chuckled a bit. His shoulder shaken, causing the dragon grumbled and trying to hold on. “I’m not one of those. I prefer to be a dubstep DJ.”, he rubbed his chin while tapping his foot. His cheek got slapped by his dragon’s wing. “Chill, small guy. People aren’t statue.”, he rubbed his chin in a grumpy mood. He then turned back to Bella, “So… Um… I’m Drew. I’m new to this school.”. He pointed the dragon with his right, scaled arm. “This is Thuban, small iguana.”, just after he said that, the dragon growled as he knows the rider mocked him. “Dragon.”

“That’s a pretty cool dragon Drew. I’m Bella. I like many forms of music. Do you have any of your music handy? I would live to listen to a mix.” Bella put her flute case in her messenger bag.

“.... Sure.”, he scratched his back. Come on, bro, first day at new school. Don’t ruin stuffs. He lent her the red headphones with green lights, “The Prodigy-Wild Frontier.”. Handing the headphones, Thuban looking at him with a teasing glare. “What is it, small guy?”, he glared back to him. Embarrassing. Good for you, Thuban.

Then something passes by at the street. A black, semi vintage car. Really huge , showing the pride of the rich. The window rolled down, revealing a face of a lady. From far, two kids, who got red and blue jackets, dashed to the car. “Mom!”. “Dante, Vergil, where is your cousin?“. Oh crap. Cover this. Cover this. Drew cursed this. He hates how his old school friends embarass him for being a rich cousin. He whispered to Thuban, “Don’t turn around.”

Suddenly someone tapped his shoulder, causing Drew turned around. “Hey Drew, cousin.... There you are! Your dragon is too big and shiny.”, Dante grinned in tease.

Drew rolled his eyes and groaned. “Hey. Mom is going to take us to Pazzi Pizza. Great. Don’t be late.”, Drew high pitched his voice, knowing his cousin’s behavior.

I Rise Up like a Frankenstein Today

*Baby Delsin is crawling, trying to reach a flying butterfly. He looks very happy with it. He tries to stand and walk as the butterfly flies away. But suddenly, he fell down. The little one starts to cry.*

Eyes flick up from his phone at the sudden cry. He smiles—something soft and gentle as he comes over and picks up the infant with a small groan. “Hey there booger. what’s wrong?”

He sobs as he got picked up. He just want to get that butterfly. As it flies around between them, he struggles, reaching his arms towards it.

Reggie looks up at his struggles, chuckling a bit when he realizes what the other was after. “Aww buddy, let the thing fly. You don’t want to break it.”

He starts to cry, wanting something. He needs something to play with.
