Creepers are weird, they're a species of mushroom that grow from a fungus mold present in nearly every part of the continent. The mushrooms themselves can only grow in darkness but the mold can stay dormant for incredibly long periods of time.

Most players know them for their highly destructive reproductive cycle where they release their spores in a single, powerful explosion as a way to secure source a of food. They also tend to linger around with the undead who they use as a secondary, much lesser source of food once daylight comes. The undead themselves seemingly pay them no mind.

One last thing to note is their relationship with common cats, they really don't like them and will actively avoid them if they're nearby even if they see food. Some players say its something about their hair or dander that messes with how they produce spores, since they've been seen shooting these odd puffs of smoke if they're forced to be around one for too long.
