funnily enough, considering they were married and all, laurel couldn’t recall them ever really having the sexuality talk. in the grand scheme of things it hadn’t seemed like the kind of thing that mattered. she knew george was into women from it coming up in conversation but she’d never thought to offer her own contribution. “you made that up,” she decided, finishing off her wine and leaning forwards to set the glass down. “i don’t really think we’ve talked about it but — you know, women are great.” she shrugged. “certain women, at least.”
well. that threw a spanner in the works of george trying to ignore how attracte to laurel she was. she wasn’t going to make a move on her, obviously. she held too much power in this situation, but her reminders to herself that laurel would never look at her that way whenever she found herself enjoying the blonde’s company a bit too much were out the window. “yes, certain women..” george responded, still half in thought about the fact that laurel actually liked women. “well, i’ve never been knocked up and then abandoned but I have had some pretty shitty ex-girlfriends, so it’s probably best to err on the side of caution no matter what gender your partner is” she continued, finishing off her win as she did, the room spinning slightly as she turned to point at laurel. “make sure, they’re really nice, and supportive and love you. also that they’re sexy. but the first ones are more important” she said with a nod.
