TASKMASTER Series 17, Episode 6
Boosh fandom is lucky in the wealth of Noelian shipping options - Howard/Vince, Pete/Stitch, Rosey/Bauer, even the “Blue Song” guys! All highly shippable ships.
I find their “Nathan Barley” characters especially interesting because Noel’s character has no plot reason to exist, yet he’s unique among the characters in despising Barley just as much as Dan does…
Jones is the one character in whose company Dan seems to completely relax, falling asleep as Jones works, calling his name when he wakes. Despite Noel’s brief screen time, it’s a fascinating relationship.
In 2008, the Glasgow Evening Times described Noel & Julian’s pre-show ritual:
“The way they work is to go into a room they call “Spain” (it’s their happy place) just before a gig, have a couple of drinks, then try and recreate their little world, to improve and develop the banter.”
in love ♡
