SOMEONE TO CALL MY LOVER !
Summary: what do they look for in a lover and why? What draws their soul to try and connect with yours?

Author’s note: I hit a little bit of a writer’s block as I was reaching the climax of my Joseph WIP so while I work on that, please enjoy these HCs in the meantime!
JONATHAN, as the textbook definition of a proper gentleman, would like somebody who has an upstanding moral compass. He’d shower his future spouse, God willing, in sugary sweet words that will no doubt secure his spot in the deepest parts of your heart. He is your lover as much as he is your friend, and looks don’t matter so long as your kindness speaks for who you are as a person.
SPEEDWAGON would like someone who doesn’t mind giving him a second chance. He doesn’t have the reputation of a saint (courtesy of growing up in Ogre Street), and he’s got next to nothing to his name, but so long as you reassure him that you’ll stick by him regardless of his status, he’d pretty much be on his knees day in and day out for you. Loyalty goes a very, very long way with him, and he’ll work day and night to rest assured that he’s worthy enough of standing by your side. Once he moves up in the world, he’ll make sure to take you somewhere nice, maybe a beautiful country such as Italy if you’re the type of person to be into sightseeing.
JOSEPH wants someone with a pretty face, no doubt. But aside from somebody with a preferably nice ass, he’d want someone who could put him in his place, quip at him and go back and forth with him. Fuss over his health too, because there’s nothing better than a total looker worrying their pretty little head about him and arguing with him about toning down his recklessness. Actually, that might just give him a boner. Fierce, passionate people have such a special place in his heart, he just can’t help getting a little bit turned-on when he meets someone who fits the bill!
CAESAR, like his good friend JOSEPH, also enjoys someone full of passion, but the difference is that he’s the type to think more about the domestic aspect of things. Throwing away his playboy reputation for you, you best believe he’s got plans to put a ring on it and begin talks about living together and having kids! He’s a family man through and through, and after that whole ordeal with his own father, he wishes to be the best father to his future kids. Someone who thinks about the future, and doesn’t mind domesticity in said future, could really catch his interest to a point where you’ll be accused of performing witchcraft on the man to have made him so lovesick over you.
KAKYOIN has spent most of his life up until the whole Dio-Egypt situation with his only company as the manifestation of his own soul, Hierophant Green. He’s said so himself; he would like to be with someone like Jotaro’s mother, Holly. Though KAKYOIN leans a little more towards the reserved type, he’d like for his lover to be someone who lights up any room they walk into, bringing mirth to others with every word. He’d like to play video games with you, correct your form because you obviously shouldn’t hold your controller like that (he’s lying, he just wants to feel his hands on your own), and have soft conversations about life before the darkness of night settles in and you both have to sleep because you know tomorrow will challenge your will to live by throwing hordes of persistent stand users at you. When this is all over, he’d like to introduce you to his parents back in Japan, proving that he too, like his mother and father, has found his person. He will never be alone again so long as he has you, not if he can help it.
JOSUKE is the romantic type. He’s binge-watched insane amounts of cheesy romcoms with his mother growing up, and they’ve given him a clear idea of love and how to go about it. He wants to share laughs with you, walk you to class with an arm slung over your shoulders, take you to Tonio’s and share a couple stories about what he and OKUYASU have been up to. Loving in real life is a lot messier than a romcom, and teenage puppy love won’t be perfect, but so long as you have patience for him and help him learn the ropes of dating, he’ll show you he can be the best boyfriend of all. Somebody who can make him laugh is good, but somebody who will wait for him and give him grace would just be heavenly.
OKUYASU isn’t the smartest guy around, but he can pretty much nail down what he’s looking for in a relationship. Somebody real cute and maybe even a little smarter than him, somebody who’ll treat him like an equal and not a dumbass, and somebody who’s willing to calm him down when things get rough and he doesn’t know any other answer to it besides his fists. He’d love it if you visited his big brother Keicho’s gravesite sometime after school to pay respects, and he wonders if Keicho, looking down at him from heaven, would feel even a little proud of his little brother for finding a total catch. He loves you so, so much that he makes it known to everyone he meets, flaunting you around here and there to show off to his friends and even strangers how lucky he is. He just can’t believe he could be with someone as good as you, and he’d scream his love for you on top of every single rooftop in Morioh if he could.
