A reminder in this time of nearly crashing the Congressional phone lines:

Do NOT call representatives other than your own.

Members of Congress do not care about the opinions of people who aren’t part of their electorate. When you call someone who isn’t your representative, the only thing you are doing is taking time/voicemail space away from people whose call might actually have an impact. Moreover, you’re potentially giving the representative an excuse to ignore legitimate callers; see also the NYT article linked above, which has a perfect example of a congressman brushing off caller opinions in general due to being inundated with coordinated calls from out of state.

Call YOUR representatives, and ONLY your representatives. To evidence that you’re a constituent, remember to provide at least your city and zip code when leaving your message, or ideally your full address when calling your House Rep. (And keep calling!)

I just got rudely woken up from a very good dream by my alarm

In it I had a cat, which u gotta pay to have in apartments and I can't afford to have a pet. It was a black cat with two faces. The second one was behind its head and the second face had a third eye on its forehead surrounded with like gold or something.

Anyways it was an odd dream bc I wanted to show my art teacher/ cooking teacher (this was not my actual art teacher irl but in my dreams I knew that they had also taught my older brother for some reason??) my cats and we talk about it while I was making a cake/ painting (like it was an edible cake that we had to decorate at first but it turned into a painting at some point) that the girl next to me was trying to sabotage then we were suddenly at my place and my cats were cuddling up to me and he said it was a big responsibility and I said Id take vare of them if anything happened since i love them and they're with me now

Anyway if you see my cats tell them I love them and they can stop by anytime and I'll give them a big ol smooch on the forehead like before
