Reflection
Hello, followers. I never intended to grow on Tumblr at all and was mainly posting for my own satisfaction. Although still super small compared to others, I still feel making this post is necessary for not only myself but you all too.
Why did I stop posting?
Simply because I stopped living a ketogenic lifestyle.
Why did I stop said lifestyle?
When I went keto, I had to resort to cooking a lot more. I fell in love with cooking, and as I wanted to advance my recipes, ingredients became expensive and needed to be purchased with money I simply did not have. All the while realizing that the continuous constipation was incredibly frustrating, no matter how many grams of fiber I ate, or how much exercise/movement I did. To relieve my bowl, I took a short break, maintained my calories, regained my bowel movements, and to my surprise, didn’t gain any weight. Sure, I don’t have the nearly as much sustained energy I had when I was keto, but I’m not gaining any weight, and my goal being keto was simply to lose weight, not increase my energy and focus. Getting down to 8% BF was hard, I was eating 1400kcal a day, practicing IF (still am), and saw no results after a few weeks. After going keto and eating “the same amount of calories” I magically lost weight and fell in love with this lifestyle. However, the reality was that I was eating fewer calories. Approximately 1200 a day. This is because the truth is that when it comes to weight loss, WHAT you eat, DOES NOT MATTER. All it is is consume fewer calories than you burn. It’s the second law of thermodynamics. Simple. Sure, carbs aren’t necessary, but they're great too! A keto lifestyle just wasn’t aligned with my goals: getting lean while maximizing hypertrophy. Carbs make achieving those goals much easier, so why not utilize this super abundant macro nutrient whilst enjoying cooking and eating a more diverse food palette.
So that’s my short little story about this short lived blog of mine. One day my goals might change, and I might practice a ketogenic lifestyle once more, but for now, I’ll stick to having my All-Bran Buds and Cafe con leche every morning to poop smoothly and set my training into a pumping glucose powered one. However, I still have some more posts to dish out, as I have tried almost all the Halo Top flavors and have review outlines for a bunch of them. I’ll post them when I can. Thank you keto community for everything you have taught me about this niche little lifestyle that continues to grow...mostly for showing me Halo Top exists though... ;)
