I still wake up some days wondering if I can handle the pressure of being the perfect mother and balance my career, but I’ve come to realize that my perfection is in my will to be the best woman I can be. I’m allowed to stumble and fall as long as I get back up again. I feel so blessed to be able to be a mother and continue to share my gifts with the world, and I commend all the women who don’t feel appreciated or celebrated enough. Yesterday, Queen B announced ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ will be out on Friday. The new 14-track album is a compilation that accompanies the soundtrack of the @lionking film, which will also be out on Friday. @beyonce also outlined details about the collaborations and guest artists appearing in this “love letter to Africa” One of the tracks ‘Mood 4 Eva’ is a collaboration between her husband Jay-Z and herself, while their daughter Blue Ivy will also be joining her mum, @saintjhn and @wizkidayo on ‘Brown Skin Girl’. @kendricklamar, her co-star @childishgambino, @pharrell and @jessiereyez, among other US stars will feature in Bey’s upcoming album, which also includes lots of stars from Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa, including @mreazi and @yemialade As the album is supposed to be reflecting the story of the film, Beyoncé said “It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Looks like the @nickelodeon and @disneychannel star @austinbutler is on a roll this year! First, he was cast in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’. Now, Butler has announced he will play the King in @bazluhrmann ’s Elvis Presley biopic after beating Ansel Elgort, Harry Styles and Miles Teller to the role, in a very competitive casting contest . About the selection, Lurhmann says, “Through a journey of extensive screen testing and music and performance workshops, I knew unequivocally that I had found someone who could embody the spirit of one of the world’s most iconic musical figures” . . For all the nostalgic millennials who are missing the old @mtv shows, hold onto your seats because we’ve got some news for you: @diddy is considering bringing back ‘Making The Band’ . . Apparently, it all started the past April, when @djheatdc twitted a petition asking Hulu or Netflix to bring the TV program to their platforms. Hours later, @wale retweeted it tagging Diddy and then, @sethrogen joined the petition by commenting “I just wanna see Dylon spit hot fire” . . After 3 very long months of waiting, prayers have been heard as Diddy has answered with “@MTV called me about bringing it back, should I? #IWantMyMTB”, which MTV confirmed right afterwards with a big “WE NEED YOU”.
