Looking for Order of the Phoenix Members
So I’m writing a 5-10 part mini series following Ethren’s experience in the Order of the Phoenix. (Before his death, that is.)
If your character was in the order, and you want your character to be in the story, please reblog and tell me your MC’s name as well as the position they had! (And a personality/appearance if I’m not familiar with them!) If your character had a unique job that’s not on this list, please let me know!
Also - all information below is purely just what I’ve come up with for the order, since there doesn’t seem to be any actual information on positions within the faction.
Aurors: The aurors are the elite militia of the Order of the Phoenix. They are the best duelers, who use their abilities to defend the Order and wipe out pockets of Death Eaters. They are the most numerous of the Order’s members. Known Aurors:
Aishwarya Mehra @hogwarts9
Alexus Johnson @third-generation-female-warrior
Ben Copper
Viper Akela @lexrius
Healers: The healers are the unspoken heroes of the Order. Always on the front lines, while they don’t deal as much damage they are constantly putting themselves in the line of fire in order to reach injured Order members and heal them to the best of their ability. Known Healers:
Artemis Clair de Lune @no-moon-nor-stars
Chiara Lobosca
Jason Novak (1996-1997) @death-or-sleep
Sara O’Donnell @unfortunate-arrow
Scouts: The Scouts are some of the most valuable members of the Order of the Phoenix. They are the ones who are sent out ahead to gather information about the enemy’s position, their strengths and their movements. They report back to the Elite members with what they’ve found and help to orchestrate the next plan. The Order members with animagus abilities are typically played within this division. Known Scouts:
Aisling Baskerville @elefseija
Merric Nyx @aleksia-aries-hogwartsmystery
Talbott Winger
Spies: Spies are experts of infiltration. The spies are very often those with animagus abilities, legilimency or have ties to high status pureblood families. They use their resources to be able to infiltrate high risk factions such as Death Eaters and families loyal to Voldemort in order to gather information from them. Known Spies:
Conor O’Donnell @unfortunate-arrow
Konnor Rainwater (metamorphmagus) @visceryl
Sarahi Silvers @dat-silvers-girl
Summer Charn (animagus) @thecursedvaultchild
Hunters: The Hunters were the bounty hunters of the Order. If there was a dark mage with valuable information, or a Snatcher that was causing too much trouble, the Order would send a hunter to find, capture and retrieve them for information. The Hunters were also responsible for drawing information from their captive - through uses not involving the Unforgivable Curses. Known Hunters:
Jaxson Whitecross
Lua la Corbeau @luanardo
Veronica Da Rosa @cursed-ice-spirits
Secret Keepers: The Secret Keepers are people who are graced with incredibly important information and are used to keep that information secret and hidden. They are typically in direct contact with high ranking members of the Order, such as Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Albus Dumbledore. Known Secret Keepers:
Flavio Ceccere @sirfluffig
Hannah Triss @theadventuresofhannahtriss
Jasmine Adlawa @jasmine-curse-breaker-adlawa
Guards: The Guards act as the Order’s security. They protect members of high rank, as well as defend the muggleborn students and the Order’s safe houses. They possess immense power and skill in dueling, much like the aurors and have incredibly protective natures. Known Guards:
Aleksia Aries @aleksia-aries-hogwartsmystery
Barnaby Lee
Cara O’Donnell @unfortunate-arrow
Jacob Cromell @carewyncromwell
Lucia & Cassie Firahel @strawberrysunrisewitches
Potioneers: The Potioneers supplied the Order with all of the potions that they could possibly need in order to keep fighting. Much like the Healers, they were a support faction with the Order. They’d create calming draughts for those suffering from PTSD, Truth Serum in order to get information out of the captives the Hunters retrieve as well as the Polyjuice Potions that the spies use on their missions. They keep the Order well stocked. Known Potioneers:
Idmon Malin @zuulosdovah
Jason Novak (1997-1998) @death-or-sleep
Penny Haywood
Double Agents: The Double Agents possessed perhaps the most perilous jobs. While working for the Order of the Phoenix, they would not only infiltrate the Death Eaters but remain among their ranks. Their position was typically only known to the Secret Keepers as well as Albus Dumbledore, and they would correspond with the Secret Keepers of what they’ve found for it to be relayed to Dumbeldore. There was only a small handful of double agents within the Order. Known Double Agents:
Septimus Crowe @brothergrimm71
Severus Snape
Rescuers: The Rescuers had a very perilous job. Often working solo, in pairs or larger teams, the Rescuers would infiltrate or storm (depending on the size of the group) Snatcher headquarters and rescue the Undesirables that were taken. They would then escort the rescued Undesirables back to safe houses where they’d be tended to by the Healers and Guards. Known Rescuers:
Ethren Whitecross
Finn McGarry @theguythatdraws
Wendy Gordon @drinkyoursoupbitch
Ministry Workers: Various Ministry Workers worked for the Order of the Phoenix. While they don’t get deeply involved with Death Eaters and Snatchers like the Double Agents do, the Ministry Workers use their resources at their various occupations to feed intel back to the Order of the Phoenix. Known Ministry Workers:
Carewyn Cromell (Lawyer) @carewyncromwell
Flavio Ceccere (Head of Obliviation Department) @sirfluffig
Skylar Morningstar (Unspeakable) @angrynar
Unique Occupations:
Some of the order members had very unique occupations that still greatly assisted the Order of the Phoenix.
Daisy Stoddard-Withers: Daisy has never been one for violence. A gentle soul all the way to the core, Daisy has found a way to utilize her skills to assist her loved ones within the Order. Gifted with magical creatures, she trains beasts to be utilized by the order: Thestral mounts, crups to help track someone down as well as Puffskein companions for Order members suffering from PTSD. @ruby-and-opal-withers
Devon Marlowe: Devon Marlowe, once a writer for the Daily Prophet, grew tired of spreading lies, left the company to begin her own paper. She writes facts, and mass distributes them under the nose of the Ministry to spread the truth. @kathrynalicemc
Drakaina Malin: Kaina Malin has never been very fond of being told what to do. Especially when orders come from someone she trusts as far as she can throw - which isn’t far. Rather than joining the Order, Kaina assists as a freelance healer, healing those who arrive on her doorsteps and aiding those she loves, while not being bound to the order. @zuulosdovah
Eirlys Knell: Prior to the war, Eirlys and her older brother ran an underground wizarding pub. It has since then become a save haven for the Order of the Phoenix as well as a waypoint for Undesirables on the run. It requires a code word to enter. @praetoring
Helene Adler: Helene Adler is less of an active member and more of an ally. She doubles as both an occassional scout as well as smuggler for muggleborns, using her pureblood ties as resources to help the Order. @heleneplays
Lilian Le’Reau: She acts as the Order’s artificer. She creates a number of tools for defense against various curses, as well as assisted many safehouses with the production of Praetorian model Golems, designed to defend the location. She also created cyphers for members of the order, unique to each member and occupation. @ravenclaw-craftsgirl
Ryan O’Donnell: Ryan O’Donnell is a Curse Breaker, with a unique position among the Order of the Phoenix. He identifies what curses have affected their members, as well as helps to seek out and disable potentially dangerous dark artifacts acquired by the Death Eaters. @unfortunate-arrow
Chloe was a double agent with no secret keeper within the order, instead trusting the position to a smuggling accomplice with few in the order knowing of their existence aside from the highest ranking members. More trusted members of the Order are made aware of Travers’ position within the Death Eaters and advised(by her own request) never to attempt contact or spot her in the field as she will attack on sight in order to maintain her cover, regardless of them being on the same side. She only ever sends information, never is given any and will not appear in-person under any circumstances. There are several occasions where she injures other members in combat and is reported in 1998 to have been taken down by Barnaby during a raid, causing her to lose her right eye and given a nasty facial scar over it.
It’s highly suspected that Chloe joined the death eaters before taking part in the Order as the timeline of her joining either is blurry. She had been rumored to have aided in breaking out a handful of death eaters in 1996 that included her father, however this same year her first tip was given to the Order that there was talk of the prophecy in the Department of Mysteries (she was not seen at the battle herself but her father was present). There weren’t many times when Travers’ would relay information and even fewer that didnt also warn of a fight. Many members disliked/distrusted her but the accuracy of her info would always turn out. Chloe’s past (and future) of curse breaking/smuggling came through when an anonymous shipment of warding runes appeared at an Order safehouse in 1997
During Chloe’s school days she would dye her hair a greyish white and grow it long and wild. As she is seen during her time in the Order, the dye is no longer applied and her natural black has taken it over. She still wears it long but much more well kept in order to parrot her father. The scarring over her right eye faded due to healing, and the eye itself was replaced with a charmed prosthetic that usually appears to have swirling dark energy contained within it. This feature carries over to her doberman animagus form. The dark mark on her forearm is dark and fresh. Her black death eater robes were always accompanied by various silver embellishments and accessories that were charmed or hexed in order for her to use them to get out of a situation. She always has a dagger strapped to her left thigh as her signature move is to duplicate it and shoot them at her target with a modified levitation charm (she has been seen casting from the original dagger, implying that there is a core within it)
