“i was expecting it. the doctor knew about her heart and said if she made it to term, she might not make it. if she came early, she definitely wouldn’t have made it. he told me to expect a stillbirth, but... she came a month early and she still hung on for three hours. there wasn’t anything they could do even if she’d been full term unless they did a heart transplant, and she wouldn’t have even been near the top of the u.n.o.s. list, so there was very little chance. i had my time to cope and accept it, but the grieving process... it’s still a process. i don’t get the nightmares very often, but they’ve been more frequent. i usually get them closer to christmas.”

“i did already know that,” she said. “she’s the stupid bitch that keeps trying to get me in trouble with the head of music. joke’s on her, i’m fucking him,” she muttered as she tapped her nails on her desk. “i was busy getting laid, a girl has needs, yanno,” she said with a grin. “i might also be a little high, i’ve been seeing a little purple alien in an astronaut suit following me around. i also thought my reflection was talking to me, but i think it was my sister.”
