Some of my notes on this comic!

Just wanted to pick my favorite panel/dialogue and talk about it... rest is up to your interpretation(s!) though, I'd be pleased to discuss them if you wanted to reread ≡^.^≡

I'd say this was the favorite dialogue I had written, the last part of Hadrien's monologue inside Paradise gambling den

A single concise sentence but its equivoque. The juxtaposition from him calling Paradise -> Limbo is the major thing.. Essentially Limbo is metaphysical between heaven/hell, and so it's a confusing or conflicting state of being. A lot like his mentality inside Paradise.

And I liked how a double entendre functions in the last part—"another dreamless night" could refer to sleeplessness, as well that Hadrien is at a point he isn't even optimistic about the prospects of gambling, which he is well aware of.

And I'm glad with the full shot here too... Cause it even puts a viewer in a confusing space—the scene is a good time, which doesn't suit the tone of the actual dialogue at all. Again with the concept of being in Limbo

Risky Paradise mini comic!! I've been wanting to showcase their dynamics with this format rather than sketches; this one is focused on the Montefiores which I have been looking forward to

Its a mini comic, so it's more of an ancedote than an episode in the present storyline. This is a night when the Montefiores were still living with eachother; and another night where Hadrien is sneaking out to Paradise. But, coincidentally Evening catches him.

💥DECADE-DEAD: A magician who had been considered dead after going missing in her childhood returns with a fervor to make a mark in the world through performance. She encounters a living doll who wants his own sense of beauty to be appreciated by others, and becomes the magician's assistant.

🃏RISKY PARADISE: follows compulsive gamblers who frequent a den called Paradise, focused on one who aims to reach a true paradise after the den had offered more harm than good in his life.

🌵THE WILDEST WEST: a comedy me + @cookiecatsss made for messing around on whiteboard. A priest who's too clumsy to pursue being a cowboy encounters a medic who patched himself up after getting skinned alive, and they become a lucky cowboy pair.

🩸NIGHTFALL: A huntress who can't feel physical pain and the emotionally numb vampiress pursue eachother for the sake of the hunt and otherwise (homoerocticism) at night.

🔩RUST RIFT: Objectum love story between a mechanic who is a survivor abandoned in the environment of the "rust rift," a crater from plates shifting and exposing discarded and toxic metals beneath the surface. And a robot who was created by an organization to scavenge the rifts, but wants to have other aspects to his life outside of his job.

They weren't originally gonna be here but I couldn't let down their one fan + other robot liking moots
