My fan comic is on a little break right now, but lately I can’t stop thinking about a character I want to introduce someday: Nick. 😂

At first, I drew him as Nick O’Teen from the Ozzy & Drix cartoon. But since I’ve never actually watched the show and only knew what he looked like, his personality and abilities gradually became completely original. So in this artwork, I don’t call him “Nick O’Teen” anymore—just Nick. He’s still the personification of nicotine, but I think of him as a separate character.

Changing the subject a bit, there’s actually a reason I don’t talk very much about my OCs or my story.

If I talk about them too much, I lose the motivation to make the comic!!

For me, talking about my ideas makes my brain feel like it’s already accomplished something, and the creative energy—the drive pushing me to create—starts to fade.

Masahiro Sakurai, the game creator I really admire, talked about this once, and I found it incredibly interesting. (He’s the creator of Kirby! ✨)

But… sometimes I really want to talk about them anyway. 🥹😂

So instead, I’ll at least share illustrations from time to time. I want to let a little of that creative energy out without letting it all disappear. Nick is one of my absolute favorite characters, but it’ll still be a long time before he finally appears in the comic…

はじめ彼はアニメ「ozzy&drix」に登場する「nick o'teen」として描いていたけども、私がアニメを観ていなくて彼のデザインしか知らないから性格や能力なんかが完全オリジナルっぽくなってしまったから、このイラストの彼は「nick o'teen」としてではなく「ニック」と呼んでいて、同じニコチンの化身ではあるけど別個体として考えてるんだ。

ここからは話題が変わるけど、私があまり自分のocとかを語らないのは理由があるんだ。

語ってしまうと漫画への意欲が失われてしまうから、、、！！

話すことで脳が満足してしまい、作品へのエネルギー（内圧）が下がってしまうから。

私が敬愛するクリエイター「桜井政博」さんがこれについて語っていてとても興味深かったんだ。

だけどね、、、語りたくなることもある🥹笑

だからせめてイラストだけでも投稿するよ。程よく排出しておきたいんだ。ニックは本当にお気に入りなんだけど、まだまだ漫画の登場は先だからね、、、
