Why? Do I look like a five year old? I get that a lot. Blame my folks.”

“ Hah! I’ve seen Die Hard like a hundred times, so I can handle the accent. And dude, I’m from Nor Cal. It gets to be like ten degrees outside where I live. I’ll be fine,” she shrugged it off, trying to sound cool, or at least not so weak that she couldn’t handle a little snow. At his next response her eyes widened, and she felt herself begin to wring her hands with the nerves from conversation growing, “Oh yeah, um, I’m mean you look younger - my age- but like that’s a good thing. Especially in twenty years you’ll be way better off than everyone else! ”

“Sacramento,” she said ignoring the first part, because she had no idea how she would even go about reacting to a compliment. she didn’t get hem very often. “Well, you got this adorable ‘not sure if you remind me of a lost puppy or my younger brother’ sorta vibe. I dunno. it works. How old are you? Sixteen? Seventeen? Please don’t be any younger. That would ruin everything.”
