That's THE CAPE: 1969 #1 by Joe Hill, Jason Ciaramella and Nelson Daniel. This cover is full of things that work. For example, you can know he's in a choppa, even 'do you don't really see it. I really like the dogtag idea for the editor and the authors. There's not enough comics about the Vietnam war.
Here goes another creepy cover. THE STRAIN #5 by David Lapham, Mike Huddleston and Dan Jackson. Notice that without the shadow, it's way less scary. Also that all it looks like it's happening in a concentration camp. Instant nightmare fuel.
METAL GEAR SOLID VOL.3 by Ashley Wood and Kris Oprisko. Ashley Wood is an insanely awesome australian robot dude©. I'd frame every single page of this comic in my house. Incredible textures, Bathshit contrasts etc.
L'INVENTION DU VIDE by Debon. I love climbing. I've never really climbed a really high mountain since I live in an urban jungle, but I love this vertigo feeling on this cover right here. Plus the colors are really vivid.
SPACE PUNISHER by Frank Tieri and Mark Texeira. This one goes in the "your argument is invalid" category. SPACE PUNISHER might be a good concept. If only the punisher series weren't so serious about themselves! you can't be doing this in a serious way folks!
REBEL BLOOD #1 By Alex Link and Riley Rossmo. In the age of CGI it's really fun to see a painted cover, A'specially a good one like this one. Plus, the dude on the cover is cool and creepy© . Nice texture, too.
Red hood and the outlaws #9 by Scott Lobdell and Kenneth Rocafort. The action is goddamned clear and cool. The colors are nice, and the composition too.
Gears of War Vol.2 By Joshua Ortega, Liam McCormack-Sharp and Mike Capps. I don't dig the 90's style this much. I don't like weird pin-ups this much. Here, it just fits perfectly. You nailed it. Makes me think a bit of the darkness.
Daredevil #15 by MARK WAID and CHRIS SAMNEE. Cover by PAOLO RIVERA. This cover has exactly the same palette than the one in my previous post. coincidence. Anyways, this one is way more intense, with a blindman stuck in barbed wire. How the hell will he get out? I hope it's not a deus ex machina. Deus ex machina suxs.
Dancer #1 by Nathan Edmondson and Nic Klein. I love chroma-thematic© covers, like this series has. I also like this particular tone of blue, a little faded-out. Also, the concept is nice. Guess I'll have to read it to understand, 'do! Is the white supposed to look like a chalk outline?
All-Star Western #9 by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti, Moritat Patrick and Scherberger. W00t for the minimalist monochromatic thingy, it's cool. Too bad the knives in her hand are less detailed then the ones she throws.
Incredible Iron Man #515 by Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca. Cover By Greg Horn. Real-life references in comic book covers are rare, So it's always fun when you see a good one. This is the Avengers' variant of the comic, that's why the others are also pictured. Nice sunset & thanks for putting no lens flare.
Secret Avengers #30 by RICK REMENDER and MATTEO SCALERA. Cover by ARTHUR ADAMS. A good ol' Pulp-art-like© cover! Everything's goin' everywhere! Yepee!! Nonetheless, the high detail level isn't obstructing the view, thanks to the well-done colors and the composition.
Xenoholics #4 by Joshua Williamson and Seth Damoose. Cover art by Dan Duncan.Hee hee. A funny cover. That's sweet! It clearly tells what the comic's gonna be about. The colors work allright, and I dig the faded out crazy alien-head in the back. Maybe the banner is a tad too much atomic.
The Massive #3 by Brian Wood and Kristian Donaldson. Cover by Rafael Grampa. The colors are super sweet and I definitely "feel the fall"© .There's a good sense of heights and your eye directly gets to the dude there.

Before Watchmen: RORSCHACH byBrian AzzarelloandLee Bermejo.Aldo I won't buy these comics (Alan Moore is against 'em) I must say this cover is cool. Nice idea, I don't know if it've been done Before (Watchmen). To be really pointy I don't know if the mask is precise enough to reproduce patterns like this, but hell this is a metageek question.
