She smiled. It was nice just being able to talk to Jenny about things like this, and her friend was right. She’d grown so much since she’d first officially met her new friends and bandmates. A soft laugh and a ‘yeah’ was said in agreement before Jenny posed her question.
It was definitely a change of subject that Sadie didn’t expect. She’d been content to stay on the current subject train, but if Jenny wanted to change it? Who was she to argue?
“Lars?” For a beat, Sadie’s expression shifted. She looked more surprised than anything else. Honestly, her feelings related to him were a bit mixed.
“Well… sure,” Sadie answered. “Ask away.” What could Jenny possibly want to know? How they’d met, maybe? That was easy enough. It was largely through working at the Big Donut. Maybe she had something else in mind, though?
jenny offered sadie an apologetic smile, sorry she changed the subject so rapidly. she tucked her leg underneath her body, tilting her head to the side. she had a lot of questions regarding lars -- the two of them were pretty different from what she could tell, but then.. lars always acted pretty weird around herself and the boys. they’d wanted to be his friend, but.. he’d always been nervous and trying too hard.
“ well --- i’m just wonderin’, what’s he really like? ”
knowing she’d need to elaborate a little bit, jenny tilted her head back to look up at the ceiling, frowning slightly. “ it’s just -- you had to be hangin’ out with him so much for a reason, right? we’ve tried to hang out with him before, but he’s either like.. a jerk, or he’s tryin’ too hard, you know? ” that wasn’t to say they didn’t like hanging out with him --- they kept giving him chances because they WANTED to chill with him. they always tried to give people chances when they could.
“ so what’s he like when he’s NOT freakin’ out? ”
