i like wesker and rebecca in a platonic way, in STARS era. he's a fuckass virology nerd, she's a chem nerd, i think he's delighted to hear that she's a good student but he's internally crying because in his eyes she's the only intellect around and he can't even be a nerd around her. she mentions continuing her studies and he's vibrating in place. he will personally fund her studies because yes he is an aspiring war criminal but he also wants more women in STEM just so that he's got more competition to crush. feminist but for the wrong reasons.
