may chi always be happy and healthy and floofy and white and spherical....!!
well, ownar will still love chi no matter what chi becomes.
⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝🎂💕
finally unboxed the komeda coffee rement set that i bought last year!! it was a good idea to save it for chi's birthday. i wanted this year's birthday celebration to have a personal and cosy setting: nothing fancy or extravagant, just the two of us in our little world. i think this set-up worked pretty well to capture that feeling??
i also got a strawberry lemon meringue pie from windowsill pies to celebrate!! it must've gotten a little roughed up during transport bc idk why there's a bit of meringue missing on one end LOL. first time trying something from this shop and it's not bad?? but i wasn't expecting it to be dangerously sour. would be nice with some tea actually.
i plan to just spend time with chi today. we can watch dungeon meshi, and play the new switch game that i got in japan heheh. (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
I think personal labels can be useful for “there’s a word for it”, “I’m not alone”, and “oh neat, I know what to put in a search engine now” reasons, but I also think they can be troublesome.
Plenty of people won’t fit 100% neatly into a label, and when they encounter a rare exception to what is otherwise an accurate label for them, it can feel like an identity crisis.
The labels aren’t literally what you are. They’re words. They’re meant to assist communication and organization, not to control you.
I like my labels. But I pulled my labels out of a box and put them on myself because they fit and I like them. And labels are also names for communities, ones I have found kindred souls in.
I did not climb into the box to join the label. The community is not a box. The community is other people who did the same thing.
You're supposed to take the word out to use it, not crawl in there with it.
You won't fit in the box and bits of you will get carved off and stunted from growing if you try to. You're not box-shaped. Not for any word.

This was never a country I'd ever imagine going to but somehow it happened?? I had an exam the night before the flight over though which made it extremely thrilling and Very Tiring but I survived somehow.
The traffic there was INSANE. I've heard of rumours but it was a lot different from actually seeing it in person. Apparently foreigners weren't allowed to drive there because the traffic required some sort of mysterious mutual understanding and an innate level of skill.
This was during non-peak hours. They had traffic lights and somehow everyone abided by it while also driving Like So.
The food there was pretty spicy even though the locals claimed that it was already made to be less spicy. Uh, I enjoyed it very much. My stomach? Not so much (: They also had this thing where you Must Only Drink From Bottled Water otherwise you'd risk having a food poisoning incident, so we were given 4 whole bottles of water in the hotel everyday LOL
The whole area had a bunch of 5* hotels and modern office buildings but also had slums right next to it. My boss very calmly told me about this while I was having a minor culture shock moment and I somewhat saw it when I had a chance of walking around on the last day.
I met a lot of people from other divisions while I was there because...somehow I got to take part in a manager's meeting?? It was great and somehow intimidating but also fun, in a way. They kept asking me if I would drink alcohol during the dinner party but I told them I was so horribly lightweight, they would not see me if I did.
It was pretty interesting how they brought us to see a bunch of old British buildings on the last day and labelled that as a Mumbai tour... /smiles/ Other than that one hotel owned by one of the richest dudes there who apparently didn't allow British people in for a period of time because he was kicked out of one of the British hotels at some point LMAO
And lastly, this dal (lentil) soup:
It was really tasty.
Anyways, it was a short trip and I didn't get to see much since I stayed in the city areas in Mumbai and there wasn't that much time to walk around?? It was still pretty interesting, though.
Listen, we have to keep this thing circulating on the internet for at least another two decades, because I have to believe that one day that little girl will be grown enough to stumble upon it and She Will Explain
here is my doujima haul!! managed to grab some stuff i wanted that sold out during afa heheh (˘ ˘ ˘) i didn't check how much i spent in total but my wallet was completely empty by the end of the day. well,,, i spent almost $80 at one booth so um,, yeah. broke but happy!!!
since i recently revived my 3ds, i thought that i should get a new pouch for it. found a rly cute clodsire one that had just the right size!! it doesn't have proper padding but as long as i don't throw my bag around it should be fine?? i hope.
oH i said i stopped buying pin badges bc i had no use for them but alfur gave me a great idea!! i can pin them onto my lab coats at work so i can easily identify which one's mine~ or maybe just for decoration~
omg the queue system was a mess. all tickets had to be bought online so there was only one queue for wristband collection and entry but somehow it became two lines?? idk but the main queue was stuck for a few mins and i could see the ppl right at the front of it letting another group of ppl go up first. :/ alfur and i started queueing at around 12.45 pm but we only managed to get into the event hall at around 3.30 pm?? yikesss i rly wasn't expecting the queue to be worse than afa's.
once we were inside it was ok tho. still a big crowd but we didn't get stuck in a jam at least!! that was definitely the biggest doujima ever bc not even afa has that many creator alley booths. O: i lost alfur like five times inside but we managed to find each other by coincidence again HAHAHAH
once again i was lost and confused trying to navigate around. everything looked kinda familiar but not rly?? what is a map?? i also got kinda dizzy?? might've overwhelmed by the large number of things to look at and the crowd. or maybe it was dehydration. or both.
we stayed until 7 pm doing our last-minute shopping before heading off to grab dinner~ we had mos burg for breakfast and....... we had it aGAIN for dinner!! to make the day even more memorable ayyy (☞゚ヮ゚)☞ nah but mos is rly the best place to chill. can't believe we spent more than 12 hours awake and outside. my legs are still achy...
I don't really want to make a 2 year recap but I felt like I should probably post something to get the ball rolling so... here are some obligatory food pics (HAH)
There's a post that I want to make and I'd have to make eventually but I'm still unable to do so but..! One day..!
AOE: Once again, I am here (yet another bi-annual occurence)
I've got no excuse www I'd make an irl update afterwards but now it's uh FFXIV TIME (when is it not). I forgot that the Endw_lker update happened and I just disappeared off the face of the planet.
I have sadly stopped gposing for a hot minute so all I have are clear photos!!! Or like big spoilers which I won't upload for Reasons.
Did a new Ultimate fight and finally got to reclears for TEA ;w; No (big) drama this time thankfully. I don't think I'd have time (?) for anymore Ultimates this year ;w;
Celebrated summer with the server. I could only stay for the water shot though so the other photo was stolen from a friend www
Halloween was just over but I'm already thinking of glams for halloween...
Anddd that's all of it for now :') I should really start gposing with erei more but I mostly logged in for raids last year and didn't really organise anything? Here's to more events this year aha
AOE: Damn, I haven't been updating this place in forever (bi-annual occurence)
Honestly, so much has happened this year. I'm not even sure if I'd be able to remember even the major events that occurred LOL
Yes, the clear photo. Erei's in his Lv 1 glam and everything.
^^^We finally cleared TEA (laughs). It took us way too long (and there were some conflicts along the way) but we made it to the end in one piece (mostly).
Here's a nicer pic (c) the evil lala in my team
Also celebrated halloween with a bunch of friends~ Though it was mostly just breaking and entering a friend's house.
I could start posting all of my clear pics and talk about our Grand Journey or whatever but eh
Just kidding, here you go anyways:
I can't find one of them but it's okay.
There're 15 days left before the next major expansion and it's not even funny how hyped I am. Goodbye heart, I didn't need you anywayyyy
AI kinda feel like making a collection of gposes for my sightseeing log adventures but I'm so lazy HAHA I'm also not that keen on that horrible jump quest to climb A Certain Building in Kugane. F
I guess this is the end of today's AOE. There's really nothing else to update (I think). Maybe I'll be back with an irl update, but I doubt it.
I will never stop laughing at this AOE joke. NEVER.
I feel like these posts are going to be longer than the ones about my actual, physical, real life.
This!! I was trying to get the mount for the Vanu tribe and I’ve finally gotten it! It was pretty smart of them to have the beast tribe quests a daily thing so you technically had to sub for longer in order to grind for them. Amazing.
Meep is a victim of...whatever you fancy people call it. w
I met up with some of the cosplay friends who have also been poisoned to start playing ffx*v and we had some sort of chocobo party where we loitered around the entrance of the wedding chapel and...fished.
Honestly, it’s almost enough to make me not miss them as much. How nice.
We also fucked around in the sunken temple of q*rn and I finally had this Lv 35 shit completely mapped out (at Lv 80)
Erei may be on Tonberry for now...But I’ve been thinking of transferring over to Kujata to join their FC. At the same time, it means not playing with my current FC which is sad!
That Cafe/Bar in Atomos
I mean, there’re plenty of roleplay houses and stuff all over the place but I’ve never been to them. I also sort of thought that perhaps only the western people had it but...nope. I just can’t read Japanese.
I didn’t take many pictures because I was actually freaking out a lot.
I got lost in the residential district and, when I finally found the house, I entered it at what must’ve been 5am JST to a group of people talking rapidly in japanese.
There were so many people. And they weren’t even from the same guild either!
Anyways, I was thinking that I’d just have Erei poke around their house a bit to sate my curiousity and then we’d be on our merry way when this gothic girl lalafell stopped in front of me and was all like おはようございます!
I
I can’t escape... (꒪˙꒳˙꒪ )
But this person was really nice! And while I was sitting there, being completely useless while I tried to think of 128371923 ways I could somehow speak Japanese as well as a native, she offered to party with me and help me translate/simplify what was being talked about in the bar area.
AAAA she was so nice...so kind... ( i꒳i )
Even tenchou knew I was a bakagaijin and spoke to me in (what they probably thought was) simple Japanese.
Well, the cafe was really cool and Tenchou even held a mini-game where it was just a game of high and low and the winner gets like 50k gil or some shit.
It was pretty fun. Gothic Lala won btw.
They were trying to ask me to be friends with them in a really roundabout way but I was already sending them friend invites (LOL).
Male miqo te in the same area (yelling): yOU FIND FRIENDS FROM CONVENIENCE STORES!!!
Miqo te: YOU HAVE TO HAVE THEM HEATED UP
Me: *sends him a friend request too*
Miqo: oh yoroshiku ( *´꒳))-' )スリスリ
These were the ONLY PICTURES I took. We were cheering Gothic Lala on cause she was going to play us a song. It was just the 4 of us left cause it was pretty late. w
And then we went and did a dungeon together. That was cute.
Unfortunately, I only ever take pictures of my food and nothing else (because I don’t go out much).
We had hotpot! My roommate sliced everything. I just sat there and peeled the cabbage www
It was pretty tasty and I feel like I’m turning more and more asian the longer I stay here for some reason w
I tried making this bacon avocado sandwich that ban suggested in her little cookbook thingie and well
“All of it.”
“All of it?”
“All of it.”
And that’s how I used an entire pack of bacon. It wasn’t very big, but that was way too much bacon.
and this is how I messily arranged the avocado
I took a bite out of the other bread because I couldn’t resist
After this, I didn’t eat dinner for the next 2 days.
I tried to make half boiled eggs but HAHAHA I had to stick them in the microwave for a few pulses after that. Sad.
It tasted like normal eggs tho
But I really ought to get dark soy sauce soon
Me Ma told me that my grand uncle passed on today. I didn’t know what to feel but I was really sad even though we never did speak to each other very much. And then I thought about how odd it must be, being 90 and having everyone around you sort of like, uh, “prepared”. I still don’t know what to think or react. To this. :/
