what are your best powersuit and blouse looks?
yk what? it has been a minute. let's get into it.

i love the colour palette here. the steely grey of this suit calls to mind a friendly moniker oft applied to myself, while being warm enough to accentuate the glow of my complexion. the lightness of the blouse provides a feminine, delicate edge to the stiff suit.

this suit itself has a femininity and lightness, as seen in the minty green colour and softer contours of the shape. the pattern of the blouse fabric here serves to accentuate my playfulness. look! i'm steering a ship! how silly!

the sharp, cartoonish lapels on this suit have been edged with polka dot fabric AND a delicate pinkish line, while the blouse underneath is the very same poka dot, tied in a perky bow. the jauntiness of the accent fabric and the cut of this suit contrast with my serious expression. this suit may give a playful first impression, but two rows of buttons, the straightness and rigidity of the bow, and a grounding navy colour remind one that the pm is, above all, to be respected.

this look features a structured vest rather than a suit jacket to support the softness of the blouse. the colours once again bring out the warmth in my skin, hair, and makeup, while remaining professional in palette. rather than becoming overly demure, the vest prevailing over the absent suit jacket in this look echoes menswear without becoming an outright emulation.
upon reflection i suppose my best suit and blouse looks balance a (traditionally) feminine lightness or playfulness with a (traditionally) masculine rigidity and authority.
what do you think?
