Fortunate for me.. Yes, because being easily gutted is fortunate for the one being gutted.
You're fortunate I didn't do it.
While you flatter me, I still need to clean it up. I’ve a meeting later today.
Shame. Meetings mean your schedule must be all tied up.Â
Sorry. I’ll clean up the mess in a second.
No need, you look good in red.
[Cora Schneider. He’d never heard of her. She could be lying. But why lie to a man who was clearly going to be unstable around her. He narrowed his eyes and let go of her wrist.] Cora. [He sneered.] It is unfortunate. But fortunate that I kept my.. temper.
[She barked out a laugh.]Â Fortunate for you, I don't go anywhere without a blade or two and with a free arm, I could have gutted you. Easy.Â
You— [What? Wasn’t? That couldn’t be. That wasn’t possible. How—] Wait! [He grabbed her wrist before she could leave.] Wait. What the fuck do you mean not— you’re— you’re her. You—
[She growled at his grip on her wrist, turnign her sharp gaze on him.] I have the unfortunate luck to look incredibly similar to her but I assure you. I. Am. Not. Her.
My name is Cora. Cora Schneider.Â
[After the two got escorted out, Titus finally turned to her and he immediately froze. It was her. Her who he had regretted not killing back in Thirteen when he had the chance— and by god did he have the chances.
His nostrils flared, his eyes narrowed. He was about to attack her— but if he did, he’d be no better than those two that just left. Instead, he simply clutched his fist as tight as he could and spoke through gritted teeth.] What the hell are you doing here.
[Her eyes remained on the pair as they disappeared, her attention only being drawn to him when he spoke. Confusion overtook her, until she realised who he was, and who she seemed to be to him. Cora gritted her teeth, letting out a groan.] Don't even think about it, I'll break your arms before you can. [She quickly drained her glass and set it on the counter.] I'm not the whiny little bitch you had for a wife. Pity, I'm was starting to like your company. Now you've gone and ruined it. Have a nice life, mister gamemaker.Â
[He waited until the big man noticed and it all went downhill from there. Accusing the man who was playing with him earlier of stealing his wallet. The man denying it. FIsts beginning to fly. Blood spraying the walls. It was hilarious, Titus trying to hold it in and failing.] Brutes. They never have the brains.
[She lifted her hand, pressing the back against her lips to muffle her laughter.]Â That's what makes it so funny to watch.Â
[Tobias did as she asked, sitting back with his drink in hand. To be honest, he didn’t understand the interaction but he was amused when Cora managed to make the man run from the bar.] Apparently not. Poor guy didn’t know what was coming.Â
"Nope. That’s why I’m watching the crowd."Â
"No guy ever does. It's an advantage women have."
"Then we'll watch the crowd."
Am I meant to help in anyway? Best not to waste a good drink. I’m working on it, aren’t I?
You can just sit back and watch, okay? [Taking a big gulp of her drink, Cora rose to her feet and walked, purposely swaying, toward the man she'd made her target. Bumping into the edge of the booth, Cora jolted her arm, throwing the glass and the content at the man seated her.] Oh, I am so sorry! [She made a fake, ditsy giggle.] I'm such a clutz! But, hey, if you weren't in the way, I wouldn't have spilled my drink! You owe me a new one! [She gave him grief for another minute, almost breaking out into fake tears, before he finally ran out. Brushing her hair over her shoulder, she returned to Toby.] See? No problem.
Any clue who we're looking for?
As good as any, sure. Someone stupid. Very stupid and soon to be dead.
Then he'll be the one I get. I should almost finish this drink first, so I don't waste it. I'm surprised he's not dead already.Â
Don’t be so quick to leave, now. There might actually be a fight. [He turned around, still not having seen her face yet (though her voice did sound familiar), and pointed to two men playing pool.] One of them’s going to leave soon. When the two were off doing other things, I picked the big one’s pocket and slid his wallet into the other man’s. Big one’s got anger issues when he’s drunk. And he is.. definitely drunk tonight.
[She followed his gaze, grinning.]Â Now that I would like to see.Â
It would be. Wanna do it anyway? I’m looking for someone who attacked my brother.
I think I will. Hmm, that guy looks like a good target, don't you think? Your brother? Who would be stupid enough to mess with your brother?
No thank you. I’m still trying to figure out who it is I’m looking for. Although, it might be funny to watch you chase bar patrons.Â
It would be funny, wouldn't it? Well, who're you lookin' for?Â
I’m waiting for someone, well, looking for someone. Well, I found them. I’m just waiting for them to leave.
Do you want me to help you scare them out? I can spill a drink on them and chase them out.Â
Actually, yes. There are still a few empty booths.
I'll be leaving before then.Â
