Date Night

Here they were; finally back on Earth. While the others were out already, celebrating their return to this planet, Shiro decided that he wanted to show Allura around and take her out for a peaceful date. 

Peaceful. 

It had been a long time since he considered anything to be peaceful. 

Shiro knocked on Allura’s door, “Hey, are you ready?”

Allura was in the middle of putting her hair into a braid when he knocked.

“Just a second! ” She said before sighing in frustration. Her hair was a giant poof mess. She pulled it into a tight braid and tied it off. She was about to walk out the door when she stopped. She gently took off her crown and placed it on her vanity. She didn’t want any distractions to ruin their date, especially her nosy advisor. Although he liked the paladins like family, Allura felt as though he still didn’t completely approve of her involvement with Shiro. However, she knew he’d come around. Allura took one last look at herself in the mirror. Pidge had brought her some human clothes so that she’d fit in. She sported an off the shoulder top that sparkled in the light and a pair of jeans. Pidge had tried to get her to wear a dress, but allura wanted to be more practical.

Finally, she opened the door to her date.

Shiro smiled as she emerged from the other side of the door. She looked absolutely amazing, even in just a top and jeans. He himself was wearing a pair of faded jeans, a gray graphic tee, and a comfy pair of sneakers. He was glad that they were both wearing similar clothes, neither of them too dressed up. 

“Since you gave me a tour of the castle, I thought that I’d give you a tour of here.” His smile was from ear to ear, glad that he was able to finally repay her for showing him around months before. Shiro held out his arm for her to take, before leaving the castle to explore.
