i was very pleased that someone was finally listening to the points i raised and remarked as much to my mother who said “they wanted you to keep talking so they could see how autistic you are” and, much like the freed cave dwellers, my sense of reality was shattered

Sorry, you can't just say that there's an entire paragraph in your autism assessment dedicated to Plato's Allegory of the Cave, and not expand on that!

i was asked if i had learnt about anything interesting lately (as a way to ease me into conversation i assume) so i told them about how i’d read about plato’s allegory of the cave and while i grasped the greater metaphorical meaning behind it and admired the creativity of the allegory i was greatly perturbed that anyone could believe that it would be possible to chain someone to a cave wall since birth without severe physical and psychological consequences and that as a pioneer of logic through his dialectical methods it was quite astounding that plato hadn’t thought to question this

i distinctly remember the assessor frantically scrabbling for their pen somewhere around sentence three

Yk I never watched teen wolf but I wanted to read your older fics bc I like your writing style, low and behold not even 2 paragraphs in I see a Greek mythology reference (specifically of odyssey, oedipus and Achilles) which I found very funny considering what Ik you from 😭

oh brother let me tell you one of my first ever special interests was greek mythology especially but also ancient greek philosophy and culture. it worms its way into everything in my life like a parasite. when i was 7 a new teacher at my school saw me reading a book about greek mythology and tried to be friendly by saying “oh have you ever heard of the odyssey” and i was like “yes i prefer it to the iliad” and then turned back to my book because they clearly had nothing new to tell me. there’s an entire paragraph in my autism diagnosis report dedicated to plato’s allegory of the caves. imagine the movie it follows but it’s just references to ancient greece and that’s my life
