Hi! I’m Jo, aka Johaerys, and I love writing! I'm also on Twitter and Bluesky (though I'm usually here the most). I am happy to talk about writing, editing, currently updating or upcoming stories, and here is also where I share excerpts of my work, thoughts about characters, etc. My asks are always open!

My main hyperfixation at the moment is Greek mythology, specifically the Iliad, specifically Achilles and Patroclus---but I’m happy to yap about other mythological characters as well. You can read my writing on AO3!

no matter how little you think you know about history you shouldn’t beat yourself up over it because there is always someone who knows less than you and is more confident about it. someone once said that bridgerton was medieval to me

Dhrui opened her mouth, but nothing came out. Instead, with feigned subtlety, dipped her finger in some nearby green paint. She knew the offness of the movement would draw his attention, and sure enough Solas looked down—his folly—at the same time that she arced her fingertip across his upper lip. The perfect green moustache.

His eyes flared with rage as he scrubbed at his face with his filthy sleeve, then realised with horror that he'd just added a full palette of pigment smeared across it. Dhrui cackled.

"You immature, insolent—"

Zevran's phone buzzed. Then buzzed again. Then started buzzing continuously.

"Popular today?" Dagna asked.

He pulled it out, frowning at the screen. "Always. Although…Dhrui is—" He paused, reading. "—very excited about something. Many exclamation points. Oh, and gifs. Ah, Antelven, which I have told her many times I cannot speak fluently."

Zjinn's phone buzzed in her pocket.

Then Dagna's.

Then Merrill's.

"Okay, that's weird," Dagna said, pulling out her phone. Her eyes widened. "Oh. Oh, shit."
