i excluded him because he doesn't show hope behaviors, he shows rage behaviors and ghosts rage consistantly due to his prince title. princes interact with their aspect through the inverse's behavior, which is how they exist as an active descructive class.

#ooc #it's almost as if they see their aspect as inherently negative. eridans distaste towards hope and magic and wanting to be taken seriously #despite everything.#dirks hatred of ANYTHING identity related. his struggle with being forced to take up different roles with different people. his actual #hatred of any kind of sincere unironic emotion.

i'm a mage of hope, knowledge class of hope which i personally view less as "positivity optimism hope" and more "beliefs, unreality, imagination, fiction" since that seems to align better with the two characters who actually portray hope behavior (cronus and jake). considering my relationship w my special interests and my need to get everything right in the medias i really like as well as my interest in learning about different types of art and communication i just thought it fit! i also relate to the hope players and the mages

that being said my alternate title i've had since i was 13 was bard of doom, and while i don't personally agree with that other than a few things (doom players tend to be pretty empathetic but struggle to show it, bard of doom would ghost a life players behavior while still having that underlying doom, as well as bards tendencies to be unstable or volatile) i'm still really attached to it so i can't let it go KDNSJGNMDSKGNJ

#ooc #i do most of my godtiering based on my own theory and then tend to skim through classandaspectings blog tags to get a 'general consensus'#of other peoples theories #but i feell like a ton of aspects are severely misrepresented because of biases towards characters. which isn't something that works well #because of how expansive the aspect to class system works

one thing i think people struggle with when it comes to godtiering is taking the entire character into account. not just who they are but their tropes, how they interact with their session, what their role is (antagonist? protagonist? support? creator?) as well as aesthetics and childhood. usually i think godtiers are assigned based off of two things

1: baseline observation of their traits

2: what their interests are and who they align with most in canon

when in reality a lot of those things only matter when considered in context with everything else

#i really really hate when people go with the 'easy' godtiers for popular characters #like haha komaeda would be a prince of hope because he destroys hope #ill kill you?#ooc

i like bard of blood best!

i do too!! my biggest problem with that is ruby never particularly acted like a breath player, or even mimicked their behavior when he was an extreme people pleaser. infact pretty muchj the opposite, he followed what he assumed to be social cue's and expectations to a T, tried to do everything right, was needy and desperate for friends and intensely obsessed with people. infact now at this point he's pretty averse to all of that... shit

ok so i’m still godtiering ruby, these aren’t entirely set at all but i’m leaning VERY heavily to either bard of doom (destroyer class, passive, fire association, destroyer of fate considering in all other aus he’s either a zombie or a demon, follows rules to a T, ghosts life player unless extreme stress) or bard of blood (destroyer class, passive, blood association fits better with valentines day, genuinely ruins relationships his own and others, ghosts breath player). but i’m still uncertain, he’s really hard to godtier because he acts severely different now then he did in sburb, which is why i’m sticking with the bard idea right now because bards inherently have that “personality switch” arc built into their class. also because he’d be funny with a codpiece.
