honestly, it's really homophobic that im not a 17th century sailor, on the open seas with a ragtag crew, on a mission to destroy a tyrant's hold on various lands, and when we dock to barter for food and supplies i meet a shy but feisty farmer's daughter, who bests me in a duel and then joins us on our journey because she wants to protect her family, and through snide remarks and drunken whispers as we watch the sun set on the horizon, we fall in love and her head rests on my chest as i brush a hand through her hair, the oceans waves and sea air rocks us to sleep, ultimately leading us to almost dying in battle and sobbing, trying to keep the other alive, leading to us getting married the moment we can and retiring to a cabin on the shore, entering the water in a small boat on the mornings and evenings to watch the sun like old times, reminiscing on how lucky we were.
