Work Ethic is one of the most important learning outcomes, because it’s the scale of how well you do your work. It’s almost the sum of all the learning outcomes. Work Ethic involves self discipline, time management and most importantly, responsibility. Having good work ethic means working hard at any task you are given, and choose to complete it.
This is an example of a finished presentation. I chose this because our final product had included all the advance criteria. Work Ethic is doing your work on time and to the best of your ability. This was something that not only my group members worked hard on, but I as well. We payed close attention to the small details and tried to create the best product we could.
I think being at New Tech has shaped my work ethic to what it is today. I strive for quality in everything I do. Before my time at this school, I wasn't as driven to do quality work, all I was concerned about was getting it done and turning it in.

Collaboration is something that many jobs require, especially in the field of work I want to go in. I believe that being able to work with people is very important. You have to know what work is yours, and you have to let the people you are working with know that you will be professional, and won’t fall behind.
This is a contract for a project that lasted 3 months. This contract includes job roles, communication protocols, and penalties. For such a large project, I believed this contract was the best to show how well my group was able to collaborate. This clearly shows group member roles, and how things were separated equally.
I have been told that collaboration is something people wish they were taught, and I am so thankful to go to a school where I am immersed in it every day. Learning to work with others has been a huge part of my life and I know that I can take this knowledge with me to future jobs and education.

Critical Thinking involves figuring out how to solve problems. You should be able to understand the problem, if one is to occur. Using logical reasoning you should be able to come to an answer based off of what you already know.
This was the product of me following a very advanced, and badly written photoshop tutorial. I decided to include this because It required for me to make a lot of mistakes, and try to figure out how to get around the roadblocks that were put in place. I was very pleased with the outcome, and this took a lot of time (about 3 hours).
Critical thinking is another learning outcome that I know doesn't usually get taught, and is usually hard to comprehend. I know that I will be able to use this skill in any environment.
I included this as evidence for Critical Thinking, because the task for this was to figure out how to make obscure shapes (shapes other than a circle or a square). Creating 3D objects is sometimes easy but sometimes requires a lot of patients. I was able to figure out how to create shapes by thinking logically, and with trial and error.
Written Communication is needed anywhere you go. You should be able to read and write at a scholarly level, or at least well enough so that people may understand what you are trying to convey. Usually this means having organized writing, and being able to connect to who ever you are writing to.
This was a paper I found that I was very proud of. I felt that this was one of the best papers I had ever written, and it was done in my first year at New-Technology High. This paper demonstrated strong communication skills in a persuasive tone, which is something I don't usually succeed in.
Writing hasn't been a strength of mine, in fact I used to hate it, however I think that my time at New Tech has made writing come more easy to me. I have been able to surpass my fear of writing and turn it into a creative activity that I can enjoy.

Curricular Literacy isn’t just knowing, it’s understanding. When you understand something it comes naturally to you. When the things you know come naturally you retain the information better, and you can use what you know for day-to-day activities.
I chose this piece of evidence for Curricular Literacy because I believe that it shows my understanding of spanish. Being a second language to me, it can be difficult at times for me to take in the spanish language. I thought that this was a perfect example of how I was able to overcome the challenges I happened to come across as well.
I have always had an easy time understanding the content given to me, but curricular literacy has taught me to dig deeper in my learning.
Oral Communication is almost like Written Communication. You should be able to present what you want to say effectively. This is especially useful during job interviews or announcements to large crowds.
This is a news broadcast that I am in charge of. The purpose of the broadcast is to communicate news, and events the school is having. I figured that this was a perfect example of how I speak other than just showing my overall grade.
I have always been a vocal person. New Tech has allowed me to express this important aspect of myself. Although I was a vocal person I was still shy about presenting my school work. New Tech has taught me to be confident about my oral communication skills which is important for any setting.
In the coming years, technology will be even bigger than it is now. Being able to understand the basics of how things work is very important. Technology is always advancing and being able to adjust to that new environment is something that everyone should be getting used to.
This was a tutorial I had to do in Digital Media 3, it explored many parts of Illustrator that I had never come across. There were things I did that I didn't know were possible to do. I believe this illustrates my abilities in the adobe software. I also feel strongly that this shows my abilities to communicate information.
I love technology, and I expressing myself through design. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do as a career but New Tech has shaped my dream to become a graphic designer. I have learned to embrace technology in my life and always want to learn more about it.
