actually, idk if it’s even still a thing, but oh man I remember back when everyone and their dog had a pixel website with palettes and little naked bases that they’d let people use and everyone would draw new hair and clothes on the exact same base with the exact same palettes and just.  if that’s over, I’m glad it is, but if it’s not, just let it die...

I guess it probably doesn’t matter too much either way, but I can’t decide if I prefer pixel art to have smooth gradients or to only have dithering.  I use both kinda like how all the lines, facial features, and ribbon are solid pixel / dithering, but the flat color fills have soft gradients like the hair and skin.

idk like I wonder a lot whether it’d be better to stick to only pixel, no airbrush.  Maybe it’s old-fashioned, but back when I started pixel art in like elementary school, most people said doing pixels using anything but a binary tool was “cheating” (and I remember people who’d say it was “cheating” to even use a program like Sai at all, cause idk it all had to be in one layer with only a limited palette and a mouse in mspaint who knows).  Do people even still think like that?

orz it looks like someone started re-translating something I translated and I can’t really tell if they just didn’t like how I translated it or if they never read my tl to start with, but I’m more or less positive they at least know I did tl it already, whether they actually read it or not, so I don’t see how it could be an accident?  I wish they’d just tell me they had problems with the way I tl’d it instead of redoing it without saying anything to me orz.  If they just told me, I could’ve changed the lines on the full tl if they had a good reason to change them?  I mean I don’t always catch typos but the things they changed weren’t typo fixes either so I don’t know ;o; they just kinda... changed random stuff?  but idk I’m not sure whether I want to ask them why or just leave them be?

i feel like wonder woman could get away with throwing batman over her shoulder to carry him away exactly once, just because she would have the element of surprise. batman prepares for everything but there are limits. if you were batman would you ever in a million years expect a woman who is two inches shorter than you in one-inch heels to just pick you up and leave like she’s carrying a bag of sand to build a wall. like you are the victim of a cartoon caveman from the fifties. i postulate that you would not. maybe in her arms like a lumberjack’s bride, but a fireman’s carry? while he is not only conscious, but entirely capable of moving under his own power? this is the one scenario that batman never prepared for and he suffers the consequences. she could never get away with it again and so she doesn’t even try but from that moment on the possibility is always in the back of his mind. he is on alert. he wants her to try again so he can prove it won’t work this time. she never gives him the satisfaction. he can never explain to anyone how he is suffering. no one will understand. he stands on a rooftop in the rain and broods.
