Lately, I've been so inspired by romantic meet-cute scenes that I'm considering writing a collection of them.

I am lucky to have had people in my life who have been with me since I was born. Even if I don't see them regularly or know them well, I appreciate that I am a stranger to loss. And yet, I am about to meet him– not sure if I am scared, but in his debt for sure.

What’s the worst thing somebody ever commented on your writing??

I really want to focus on one particular novel, but my mind keeps jumping between ideas, making it difficult to write for extended periods. Years ago, I could easily write thousands of words in an afternoon, and I miss those days.

For years, I have been part of a few random fandoms. That's why– I think– it is time to put some work out there.

Sometimes I worry about writing a scene that others might not understand, whether it's something I invent or something shocking. I keep these scenes hidden in my notebook.

Then I consider all the famous writers who may have believed they were crazy before publishing their work, or those who faced negative feedback in their time and are now celebrated for their innovative ideas.

Maybe my ideas aren't too crazy after all.

I like writing more than I like breathing, people, sleeping in, going to the movies, having conversations, dating, painting, baking, dancing…
