She pouted ever so slightly before switching to a smile. She was kind of sad that he had been able to tell so easily, but then again, perhaps it was a good thing– After all, he’d looked just about ready to hurt her. She looked cheerfully at her friend, posing with a grin. “I came to visit you, silly- Since you never come and visit me–” And now there’s the pout again, though it’s more of a joking pout- It would be nice if he visited her though- 

“So what’s it like living here? Isn’t it hard having to practice different languages-?”

Well she wasn’t wrong about that. He supposed he had lost track of time while being in this region. “I was going to make a trip to Johto soon.” He had missed Lyra and Ethan after all. “It’s...different. Not bad though.” He enjoyed being here a lot. Plus being in a new environment was a nice change. “I’m not fluent yet, but I’m learning English. I still don’t understand Kalosian though.” Fortunately it seemed enough people in Kalos spoke English as well so things worked out in his favor. “You only speak Japanese, right? You’re going to have trouble here, Lyra.”

Well this was just wonderful, wasnt it? Silver had been walking back to his university when this just had to happen. His shirt and pants were drenched now. He let out an upset sigh, brushing some of the water off of his arms and muttered a few curses under his breath. He had completely forgotten about the other person present until they addressed him. “I would appreciate that.” It wasn’t going to help with his soaked pants, but at least it was something.

Lyra bounced on the back of her feet, giggling before forcing herself to stay silent. She ran up behind the familiar redhead, reaching up on tip-toes to reach up to his face, covering his eyes from behind. She forgot he was nearly a foot taller than her- Just barely remaining on her toes, she forced herself to rise a bit more, cheerfully whispering into his ear.

           “Guess who–!”

      The was no way he’d be expecting her, right?

Upon being touched, Silver tensed and was immediately ready to elbow them until he heard their voice. That made him relax, his shoulders slacking. “Lyra, it’s not that hard to tell when you speak.” Though if she hadn’t, she certainly would have been hurt. So he’s glad she said something to avoid that happening. The redhead removed her hands before turning to face her. It had been months since they last saw each other so it was nice that she was here. “I didn’t expect to see you in Kalos. What brings you here? Are you taking a vacation?”

     ❝  here, hold both of your hands out, okay ? ❞ she lays her across them so he could cradle her, unsure if he’d be okay with holding with one hand as she was. and riley was all to eager to greet her old friend. unsurprisingly, her first action is take a gripful of silver’s crimson colored hair, turning serena’s laugh into more an uncharacteristic snicker.

Silver did as she said, holding Riley as carefully as he could when she was placed in his arms. And when his hair was grabbed, a hint of a smile was visible for a moment. She really did remember him, didn’t she? “Travelling. I wanted to go see more of Kalos. I caught a Honedge and an Absol.” There were a few other Pokemon he had tried to capture, but obviously they did not go well. “I want to get a Skrelp too.” He was planning to try and get one next time he left Lumiose. He wanted to stay for a bit to spend some time with Serena. He had missed doing so. “Have you watched any anime lately?” He knew the answer, but he was asking for the sake of making conversation. Plus he was genuinely curious to know what she had been watching even if he wasn’t interested in anime himself.

He leans a tad closer to the child before he looked up at the blonde when he heard her speak. “I suppose so. However, you will have to remind me how to hold her.” It had been quite awhile since he last saw Riley so he had forgotten the things Serena taught him during that time. And actually, he also hadn’t seen Serena in some time. “How are you doing? Have you been well?”

“Riley...right?” He had enjoyed spending time with the child the last time he saw her, even if it didn’t seem like it. He supposed he had developed a sort of soft spot for them in the short time they spent together. "Really?” He hadn’t expected that. He crouched down to meet Riley at eye level. "Hello again.”

lovey dovey, or even fluffy, weren’t words anyone except serena would use for a guy like silver. and even those were used sparingly, making sure he was in a certain mood before knocking whatever he was holding onto the other cushion and replacing it with herself, so she could sit on his lap, knees on either side of his legs. somedays, he gave into her desires for a cute, lazy afternoon, but other days he made her work for it. today seemed to be the latter.

and she falls forward limply, forehead landing on his shoulder. she lays there for a moment, and when she leans back, she plucks his phone out of his hands.

her own line makes her blush a bit, but not enough to retreat. she was determined to at least get one !

silver smirks, and serena pouts, and she’s very annoyed over this transgression but still yet ! refused to give up ! she was a trooper for sure !  she puts both of her hands on his cheeks and goes in for a kiss, though at the last moment he moves and her lips land not on his own, but on his cheek. 

she stares at him for a moment, smacking her hands against the side of her head and leaning back, letting out a frustrated groan.

he puts his hands over serena’s, pulling her down to him to smack his lips against hers. it’s with pure luck that her forehead doesn’t smash against his, really, since neither of them were all that coordinated or experienced when it came to this.

     riley leans forward a little as well, and just to prove serena’s theory, grabs a fistful of silver’s red hair. not strong enough to painfully tug it yet, she still moves her hands around with his hair in them. ❛ yep, just like that. ❜

    this was… different, somehow. he wasn’t exactly comfortable with riley, serena could easily tell, but there was a certain tenderness that wasn’t so typically exposed while he played with her. it was…. really nice.

He watches the child as she plays with his hair, wondering why it was so entertaining. Guess it didn’t take much to entertain a baby. At least she was having fun. “I suppose so.” He didn’t understand why however. It was a little strange to say the least. “You seem to be enjoying this. You must like kids.” He wasn’t all too sure how he felt since this was his first time taking care of one. However it didn’t seem so bad. It was kind of...nice actually.
