Fuck it, inventory thread. Because we need to talk about what the fuck's happening with that so the poor anons have some idea of how it functions.

Vance just uses his void, his demon, and sometimes his pockets.

Glitchy's pockets lead to the back rooms (the place where the unused(often corrupted/dengerous) files are and where they came from). They can pull things out at will but no guarantee it's what they were looking for. It's pretty much a random grab bag of items.

Glitchy was originally in the very first version of the game as a shopkeeper. However, they were quickly scrapped due to corrupting other files and npc's with the many bugs and glitches in their code. They have lived among the unused files (an area they call the back rooms) for years. When the nuke shook Exclamania, it created an opening for Glitchy to escape.

Well- uhh... Long story short, Bad Things happened to me combined with there being someone or something called Carrion (i think it's something like that) and I decided to disappear somewhere safe... So I made a hole in the ground that I slowly turned into a bunker

I'm one of the eeeearliest characters made. I wa -as aroooound back when bugs were really common. They practically ran this place -ace. There was e- even a kingdom- well, they called it a queendom- where we would all gather sometimes.

The game barely functioned back then. Since the devs were still new at all this, they didn't know how to fix fix things properly. So, instead they sent all coooorrrupt -upted -ed and glitchy files that they could catch to a separate folder to "discard later". Of course, heeeeeeere I am, so somebody must have forgotten. I've been stuck in there for so long. Up until your pal, upgradegarage, set off that nuke, ripping a hole in the the code for me to come through. Things have certainly changed a lot since I was last here. I assume no more bugs?

Their form glitches a bit as they do. They look around at your destroyed workshop before their eyes land on you. Their speech is very glitchy.*

The murderbot gestures to the rest of the murderbots, who are all hitting bricks with wrenches, hammers, and crowbars.

Oh! A nuke!? Sounds li- ike something -ing the devs wouldn't like too much. There's quite a bit of damage. Suuuurprised it didn't destroy the world or something. Last time I was here, it was p- p- pretty unstable. Where is this Upgrades?

"He's six feet under. Or he would be, if we had anything left of him to bury. Never did find the body. And besides, the nuke was built in a matter of weeks. Barely managed to destroy the garage."

The murderbot continues scavenging bits and pieces of the rubble, setting aside anything sentimental in a cardboard box.

"You probably shouldn't stay here for long. The nuclear fallout isn't exactly great for anything that has to breathe."

Wow, whaaat a weak nuke. Then again, back in my day, something e- even smaller would have messed things up for weeks or longer -er. Code's defin -initely been patched up a bit since then, huh? Your creator really did a number though. Busted a hole right in the code for -or me to get through. You're probably right about the air. I should geeeeet going soon.

You should probably try to pa -atchh that up. There's a bit of unstable and dangerous stuff in there. Things like guns, bombs, cupcakes. Things that could really -ly mess things up out here. That's where all the buggeddddd and broken files were tossed in the earliest versions of this game. Nothing's been tossed in there for a long long long long long- time, so I'm assuming this place is bug free now.
