318. I don’t like the look of most Sparklewren corset designs

I agree with what someone else said. I don’t like the look of most Sparklewren corset designs. The woman has skills and is great at patterning and drafting. I'm sure the durability of her corsets are great but the designs aren't all that. I guess she's popularized by Lucy and a few popular people who are into corsets. I feel the same way about C&S constructions.

I wish Scarlet would shut up about her bad experience with corset story! It was probably a one off and I've had corsets from them that have been fine, so have many others. Live and let live Scarlet, get over it shit happens

316. I wish people would accept Corset Story/Corset Deal etc. for what it is

I wish people would accept Corset Story/Corset Deal etc. for what it is. They serve their purpose. They are good for dressing up or costuming. You cannot expect a $400 corset for $30. People seem to want everything for next to nothing. I know it's upsetting if a company is stealing photos but when it comes to copying one's design, there is nothing really original anymore. Everything has been done. Watch the Ted Baker documentary on Fashion copyright and you'll understand better.

I believe Lucy doesn't deserve all this hate. She just angered a popular person in the community, and all of her minions followed along with her hateful opinions

314. The bad attitude of some people in the corset community has been putting me off recently.

I don't even want to be part of this community any longer after seeing how hateful and judgy people are. I have learned so much from Lucy and adore the craft of corsetmaking but a lot of toxic people have put me off. I will corset in private... 

I am so incredibly bored of hearing about how 'the corset community' did this, that, etc. It's a group of thousands of people talking about corsetry. The actions of a few people aren't representative of the entire group. Your personal dislike of Lucy's reviews doesn't mean the entire community is broken. A few people being bitches doesn't mean the entire community is. Some people need to grow up, think for themselves and make their own decisions. I'm tired of all the whining! 

I am really, really starting to hate this community. I do not even participate anymore because of all the drama.

313. I love the corset community.

I love the corset community. Some of the most wonderful people I have ever met... I think even the people who are being mean right now are just worked up over silly things, and deep down probably know that it's not nice to throw stones or to insult someone for having a differing opinion... But I do think that all of us would get along if we were to actually spend time together. The Internet makes it easy to froth at the mouth over minor things- but I bet there isn't that much to hate in person.
