You know what? I’ll do it if, and only if, you do the same at the same time,” she suggested, needing him to meet her halfway. “Deal?”

Robbie rushed to their side, dropping down to one knee as a sturdy hand reached out, taking a firm grip of their shoulder to ground them. "You okay?"

“Yes, thanks to you,” Adelina offered an appreciative smile, “why? Why save me? You could have used me as a distraction. I would have in your place…” she trailed off, realizing how cold she sounded saying that, yet not caring too much for she’d become steeled for a reason. ‘Thank you, regardless. I’m in alright shape and can help you if needed,” Adelina offered kindly, extending a hand to shake. “The Crimson Stiletto,” she introduced herself.

Alastair looked at Selene with a dazzled smile, giving a small bow and taking her hand and kissing it chastely. “I didn’t expect my sister to be as kind to me as to suggest you as my ‘blind date’,” he chuckled softly, admiring her beauty in a non-predatory way, more an admiring and appreciating way. “I’m Alastair, Aislin’s brother,” he offered his hand to shake, standing tall and proud to emphasize his height. “I’m here to, hopefully, sweep you off your feet,” he informed her, his blush revealing he wasn’t as confident as he pretended to be. “I have some ideas for what we can do…if you’re still interested now that you’ve met me,” he chuckled, crossing his fingers as a mental image.

As the kiss broke and Aislin went from being on her toes to her regular stance, the redhead searched Martin’s eyes with curiosity and confusion. “Martin…you’re not just playing games with me, are you?” she asked, not understanding his show of affection, despite very much having enjoyed it. “A kiss like that says something,” she added, offering a small smile to him, hopeful that the sweetheart she’d befriended indeed felt the way about her that she felt about him.
